If Trump loses Florida switch to Fox for the lulz. I like watching Rachel Maddow's commentary so I'll tune into MSNBC.

Yeah, MSNBC annoys me sometimes but I'm hoping Maddow is prominent so I turned there.

CNN exit polls hinting at tight race, looking better for trump.

What parts of it do you think indicate a tight race? I just saw some of the figures they summarized; nothing jumped out at me as being markedly different from polls up to this point.

In terms of composition of the electorate (in their poll), they said whites were down 2%, African-Americans were down 1%, and Latinos and Asians were both up 1%.

I was a bit surprised by the responses to economic situation - think it was something like 41% said they were about the same as 4 years ago, 30% said they were better off, 20-something percent said they were worse off. Which isn't as great as the polls saying a majority feeling better off than four years ago, but if the supposed impetus behind Trump voters is economic anxiety (which is iffy), that doesn't seem to be that huge a percentage of people feeling negative about their economic situation.

Unless you were expecting the poll to clearly indicate a 60-40 split in favor of Clinton or something, nothing looked that off - and as others have said, exit polls don't really have great predictive value. And the anchors also noted their poll was of election-day voters, and don't really account for early voters.

6pm Eastern time is when we will start seeing some results?

Well that's 7 minutes away. Holy shit I'm so ready.
It won't tell us anything. The only way the results from these states are interesting is if Trump loses anything, which would imply that he's failed catastrophically.

Is anyone making an OT for:

STEPHEN COLBERT'S LIVE ELECTION NIGHT DEMOCRACY'S SERIES FINALE: WHO'S GOING TO CLEAN UP THIS SH*T?

If I do it, it's gonna be real half-assed at this point in the game.

Been waiting 40 minutes at the polls. Lots of minorities in line. Sorry Trump.

It actually feels good to see minorities out and voting.

Primaries here in Phoenix were that way as well. Just seeing people come out and vote feels great.

Edit: It will be a lot better if we just said citizens. I want to see a world for my daughter in which the news does not actually separate the races. Whites/minorities.

Looks like I arrived just in time. UK based here but I'm hoping for a Hilary win just because Trump seems like a complete idiot and it'd be dark days for the world if he ascended to power. I hope Hilary comfortably takes this as she seems like a good woman who'd make a great president.

Anxious to see the results come in. It's 11pm here in the UK but I'm staying with you guys for the night for this. Bring it home Hilary.
