The UK does not give half-counted votes which adjust as the rest of the votes come in from that one area. They're fully counted before being submitted.

We've only got a few locations. Close neighborhoods and cities vote similarly. If you only got the rural parts of most states, they'd look all Republican. When you get broader results from the state, it tightens up.

Brexit polling matched the result. This isn't nearly as close.

Of the 8 final Brexit polls. 2 were basically spot on 4 called it with in the MOE, and the other 4 had early fieldwork. It wasn't really a failure of polling, it just seemed that way after the 2015 election failure.

Clinton winning is a given, the only real question to me is whether voters give democrats the senate/house and if so by how much - I don't think they could reach 60 senators (filibuster proof) or majority in house.

How is this decided? Is it electoral too? Wont people just vote the same as the presidential candidate
