Man BBC showing Clinton 3 Trump 24, 270 to win is worrying.

Ayy you need to read up on the electoral college playa.

Look up previous election electoral college results. The farthest leaning states are the easiest to call. The fact that they were called early means nothing to the full result.

The big guns have yet to fire.

Hope so. I mean I know it's true it just sucks kicking off things like this. Florida and Virginia u mad?

I'm a Brit. Haven't followed an American election as close as this.

Guys she is barely losing WITHOUT ANY DEMOCRATIC COUNTY VOTES IN FL YET.

STOP PANICKING.

Southern FL always takes forever to count.

I'll admit I voted Democrat for the first time in my 6 years of being able to vote. You get one America, only one. Next time a crazy fuck gains influence and the GOP nomination I will vote for him if only to teach you a lesson.

At worse Trump will lead for a good bit then Hilary will wipe out the lead in no time right over the line. It's not the end of days. The US coverage is just hyping up nothing. I saw on the news about Obama's last election and it played out much like that just because that's the way states get announced.

The fact that FL is basically tied without anything from Boward, and little from Clinton's strongholds means we should be feeling the opposite of panic. It's not going to be very close.

I'm going to keep this message tabbed to keep my self calm every time we get an update from Florida.

As a reminder to any US election neophytes, DON'T just vote in Presidential years. Vote in your midterms too.

They're generally not as exciting, but they're vital.

Why does CNN have breaking alerts of "too early to call", they're basically saying "breaking news: we have nothing to say"

I'd imagine to ensure constant viewership and to try to avoid people looking tuning away. They're switching between screens, graphs, banners appearing on the screens, speakers, projections, and music every four minutes. It's a blatant appeal to the idea that you just can't look away and updates are constantly happening so have to stay tuned in.

BBC in a bar in Philly interviewing a shitfaced Trump fan.
They pretty much found the stereotypical white, rural American male, it was pretty impressive. Nice to know people are watching this and being tolerant though.

Edit:
Also, I get that it's frustrating for those that do follow politics but the amount of pedantic holier-than-thou posts are getting just as old as people freaking out. Chill.

So what happens if Hillary wins but the dems don't take back the senate? Are they going to hold the supreme court hostage for another 2-4 years?

"Florida looks very good...Hilary outperforming Barack's margins...she has a slight lead in North Carolina."

Keeping it 1600 for life!
