A lot of people are watching/participating for the first time so maybe be a little more patient with them
If it's your first election, I don't think it's too much to ask people to stop freaking out, shut up and maybe learn about the process. Instead of contributing to FUD and spreading general nonsense.

Never is an overstatement. 2020 and 2024 should show signs of a shift at the very least.

But you're right, not for this election for sure.

Why is Texas becoming more blue? Immigrants? Urbanization? Demographic changes (more young people etc)? I know there is a lot of high teh industries in Austin etc, would guess those areas are blue already?

A lot of people in this thread in denial about us losing Florida. It's over. Right now, we have to pray for Virginia, Nevada, Pen., and NC.

Fuck this country. I wish we would let the south be their own country.

Looking at Florida, pretty much all of the red counties have finished or just about finished counting, while Broward is currently sitting at 13% according to CNN

MSNBC: white college males always vote republican and black college women vote democrat.

Gosh I must live in a bubble cuz that seems backwards from my experience.

The fact that this election isn't a blowout is a disgrace and says a lot about the American population. The fact that a sexist, racist, homophobic bigot like Trump can get this many votes is a travesty. Whenever anyone tells you that racism, sexism or any other form of prejudice is a thing of the past you only need to look at an election like this as a stark reminder of how untrue that is.

So basically it's your average country, gotcha.

A tiny lead in Florida, with Broward county not even counted in, DOESNT MEAN SHIT.

The Democrat vote in that county is incredibly ateong and will massively eclipse a meager 100-200k lead.

Ffs, RELAX

I'm trying, but I remember the same thing people said about London during Brexit. I think I might puke...

Broward County 2012:

Obama: 67.2% - 507,430
Romney: 32.3% - 243,732

RIGHT NOW

Clinton: 69.6% - 422,936
Trump: 28.7% - 174,321

So Republicans hold senate and house and majority in governors and state legislators. So much for being a dead party because of Trump.

Non American here, so how things are looking based on the remaining states? Are things going more favorably for Trump than expected or is it the other way around?

Can someone summarise what's happening at the moment for me? I just woke up at 5 in the morning with a bad feeling about all of this.

Please tell me trump isn't winning so far.

The Dems likely losing the Senate is WAY BIGGER than anything happening in Florida or even this Presidential election, honestly.

Honestly its early but looking at what we have so far I think Democrat's got pretty lucky that someone as awful as Trump is the Republican nominee because the Republican's could have maybe had a decent push this cycle had there been more good will on their side with Independents
