Doesn't really have anything to do with that. Has everything to do with the bottom line. People expect to remain/become wealthy/wealthier under a Trump presidency. They're voting for their wallets.

Paying the bills is a necessity, being politically correct a luxury.

(I live in a state that is about as republican as it gets, but I would have voted Hillary if I had voted. Wouldn't have made a difference here.)
