The only good thing about a Trump win is that it's going to make liberals a lot less cocky and self-assured. The "yell at people about how bigoted they are" approach clearly hasn't been working at all. And if we really care about progress, I'd like to think we'll take a long hard look at our strategies and come up with something more effective. Probably something that involves more empathy and less venom, though I realize many here find that idea deeply offensive.

Even if Clinton scrapes it out, I hope GAF learns some valuable lessons from all this. The way people discuss social issues here is counterproductive.
