Fucking O'maley could've beat trump. Hilary was a terrible goddamn choice.

Thanks dems.

Jim Webb was the best bet, real cool dude (met him here in VA before) and honest man, you can think the DNC for this mess, seriously, like I said, money and power, all parties I know have it, and want to use it, but seriously, that is why trump is going to win, people fed up with the whole system

I feel like there are a lot of deluded Trump supporters out there who are happy now, but will be incredibly confused when they lose their jobs to the economy that is about to absolutely crater.

LETS GO TRUMP! LETS GO TRUMP!!!!! YAY!!!!!

Im so F'n happy he's doing so well, even if he don't win, this movement is "real"!!!

Let's say Trump actually DOES fix the economy, can you americans forgive his complete lack of everything else he provides (woman drama, mexico drama, lbgt drama, etc)

Curious

It depends on what happens with other domestic social issues as well foreign relations. I am very curious to see what happens with our relationship with Russia in particular with a Trump presidency.

I'm going to go on a long rant here and I'm sure in this fast moving thread no one will read it, but it's going to be at least a little cathartic. I'm also going to put this forum on blast a bit.

You know, I'm just going to take a moment to say that some of us tried to warn so many of you. The whole "social justice warrior" online movement or whatever you want to call it that this forum in particular has come to be dominated by. Shame and spite do not do anything to help one's cause.

Unrepentantly calling all white people racists and bigots and sexists and misogynists is what brought this on. I've joked on here about voting for and supporting Trump, but god knows I never actually did. But I've always been able to at least sympathize with those "deplorables" for the blatant hypocrisy on the left when it comes to all of those social issues that dominate social media these days.

too many people on the left, and on GAF especially, remind me of the conservatives in the years following 9/11 under Bush. Everything was viewed through a polarizing, black and white filter. You are either with us or with the terrorists. You are either a ____ist or you're not.

You can't demonize and shame people and expect they'll agree with you. They'll only dig their heels in further, especially if they feel attacked.

This is some real truth here, folks:
All the people who are very likely or even (ugh) probably going to put Donald fucking Trump in the White House tonight are not voting because they hate women or blacks or mexicans or whoever else. I'm also not saying that the hatred isn't a factor, because it's been shown repeatedly that at least on some level it's an animating force for all of this... but people are complex animals but you've turned them into cartoon villains and stereotypes without every trying to understand them or why they actually feel the way they do.

Polarization is bad. The right has been polarized for a long time, but now the left is too, and it's biting them back hard tonight. If Trump wins and has the House and Senate behind him, this is literally the end of America as we know it and the beginning of a new BRIC nation world alignment. That's really fucking bad.
Exactly. I share this opinion.

Welp,

Australia
England
United States

The competition is now between Canada, New Zealand and Trinidad and Tobago for the least stupid countries in the Anglosphere. Australia, England and The United States have been eliminated from the competition. Scotland might make a play and make a late entry into the competition assuming they get independence.

Why are people in here acting like it's over already? MI and WI seem to be very close and will most likely go to Clinton, and Nevada seems to be in favor of her too. So why are you already panicking? She'll most likely win this. As close as possible, but she'll win. Or am I missing anything?

Even if she wins, this is the exact sort of thing one panics about. She is most likely not winning though.

I agree with this. The extreme looney left is driving people away.

Oh don't get it wrong. Brexit was a closer race.

This is worse than Brexit. No one actually saw this coming.

That's not true. People in the UK had been warning people in the US ever since Brexit. It's going to happen, the closet racists/bigots and the uneducated will come out in force, don't have faith in your fellow countrymen, go out and do your part. Make the right vote to prevent it happening. Don't protest vote, now is not the time.

People didn't listen, and this is what happens. If people were able to vote in swing states but didn't, then they deserve whatever shitstorm is about to hit them. People were warned about the possibility, people were warned not to be complacent and just think "ah, it won't happen".

"Nobody saw it coming" isn't true, a lot of people wanted to hide their head in the sand and hope the problem would go away.
