Everytime that fucking Michigan lead grows I wanna punch a hole through the wall.

Just as I post this, the lead cuts in half. Pleeease fucking Michigan.

Screw Michigan, I'm more worried about Wisconsin. I think thats the state we lose that causes the election to be lost.

In the morning, I am going to see my lawyer, get my will signed and finalised. Then I need to claw my way out of this depression because right now I feel like jumping off a bridge.

I've gotta say that I think it's ridiculous that more than half of americans can vote for a man who has said much worse things about marginalised groups than the things being posted about the people who are voting for him ITT and yet people are calling out the very same people who he has insulted for responding in kind.

I'm contemplating suicide. I'm serious.

Don't do anything silly my friend <3

Politics can be cruel but it's never unchangeable. You just need to regroup and look at what your side could have done better.

Without a doubt the so called libertarians on the left have become more like hard left loonies in recent times. All this speaking in hyperbole and simply calling everyone cunts... surprisingly does not go over well :/

Good job america, we're voting in a candidate who openly admitted to sexual assault on camera. Apparently that's less important than emails.

The people saying that Trump won because the left drove away decent caring people need to really think about what they're saying.

Trump won because us SJWs were right about "moderate" Americans all along. There's no more convincing argument against racism/xenophobia/sexism than a Donald Trump presidency, and those people weren't swayed. They were never going to be swayed, no matter how "nicely" we worded our criticism or how silently we protested.

There's no more doubt about what half of America actually thinks about women and minorities now, we don't need to pretend anymore.

Funny how all it took was 24 hours for the presidency to go from being 100% lock for democrats to 100% lock to republicans. I think there's a better lesson to learned here than writing off entire blocks of voters. The autopsy of this election will likely show that betting it on polarization was probably a bad move.

Anyway, I'm here to eat some crow. I really didn't think Trump would win. I am more convinced that he can't become a fascist, but I suppose it doesn't matter if I'm even wrong about that.

Are the Democrats the one out of step? Is hate back in vogue? Do we need to move to the right again? Or go further left towards Warren?

What do we do?

During his first four years Dubya let 9/11 happen, kick-started a massive recession and started a pointless war. Trump is a dumber fuck than Bush, and he'll be empowered by a hateful, spiteful maniacal right wing Congress and Senate. America is fucked.

I agree with you, but the bolded is some dumb shit, obviously. It wouldn't have mattered if Gore was in office.

Glad I decided not to post anything on social media voicing an expectation of Clinton winning. A silver lining of Trump winning will be that all his supporters will get to see just how shitty he will actually be as POTUS and how much farther America will fall under his rule. Hopefully they will finally see how they were lied to all this time by a man with no real plans.

You're cute. All his failures will be placed on the actions of the previous president, like always.

Calm down. He probably won't invade a country. We will survive a Trump presidency, we just have to deal with the shame and embarassament of electing such a person

Sure, so long as you're not brown and/or LGBT. Like me, like a damn good chunk of the country.

G'night GAF. I'm going full denial mode for the next 11 hours (when I get back to work). I took a good ole' double shot of Rum, turned off my Wi-Fi and Mobile Data, and I'm even going to sleep early.
