3rd party is a mistake. A two party system is a mistake and it is finally showing how bad of a mistake of it is.

We did this to ourselves America. We let anger guide us and going against the system. The people that mattered ruined it

Im sorry but why could we ever allow a dude who has no type of government job ever become president.

Those women that felt sexually abused by trump will be attacked by him and his followers.

This aren't sane people these are hateful people, morally wrong people that was the voice for America.

I just can't believe this. Fuck this world! The only thing good that came out of this whole thing is that my state was overwhelmingly blue, otherwise this is terrible.

Looks like she might flip MI, but not WI or AZ. Don't see a way for her to win without 2 of those 3 states(or Iowa or something, which is even more of a longshot).

Think it's over.

I'm going to go on a long rant here and I'm sure in this fast moving thread no one will read it, but it's going to be at least a little cathartic. I'm also going to put this forum on blast a bit.

You know, I'm just going to take a moment to say that some of us tried to warn so many of you. The whole "social justice warrior" online movement or whatever you want to call it that this forum in particular has come to be dominated by. Shame and spite do not do anything to help one's cause.

Unrepentantly calling all white people racists and bigots and sexists and misogynists is what brought this on. I've joked on here about voting for and supporting Trump, but god knows I never actually did. But I've always been able to at least sympathize with those "deplorables" for the blatant hypocrisy on the left when it comes to all of those social issues that dominate social media these days.

too many people on the left, and on GAF especially, remind me of the conservatives in the years following 9/11 under Bush. Everything was viewed through a polarizing, black and white filter. You are either with us or with the terrorists. You are either a ____ist or you're not.

You can't demonize and shame people and expect they'll agree with you. They'll only dig their heels in further, especially if they feel attacked.

This is some real truth here, folks:
All the people who are very likely or even (ugh) probably going to put Donald fucking Trump in the White House tonight are not voting because they hate women or blacks or mexicans or whoever else. I'm also not saying that the hatred isn't a factor, because it's been shown repeatedly that at least on some level it's an animating force for all of this... but people are complex animals but you've turned them into cartoon villains and stereotypes without every trying to understand them or why they actually feel the way they do.

Polarization is bad. The right has been polarized for a long time, but now the left is too, and it's biting them back hard tonight. If Trump wins and has the House and Senate behind him, this is literally the end of America as we know it and the beginning of a new BRIC nation world alignment. That's really fucking bad.

Great post

I am gonna feel really bad if Hilary don't win though. I must be honest, I was looking forward to seeing the first Woman President and Hilary in my opinion with Bill as her husband would of did a decent job at running this country, regardless that i favor Trump. I don't know, I just kinda feel bad inside for her now that it seems like Trump is gonna win.

For me, its one of these presidential elections where it would be nice if they both could of ran this country together. And maybe they still can if this stupid division between dems and repubs can just lay it all down and unite.

Huh...

Is this her hometown or what...

i thought hilldawg would landslide based on trump being literally the worst candidate of all time but i grossly underestimated how bad she was

poligaf wannabe-politicos sure were on the money lol

This post will likely get lost in the river of crazy coursing through GAF right now, but:

Friends, this won't be the end of the world... and if it IS, then the world will be ended and no one will be around to care. Most likely, this would be a very shitty four years that has repercussions for years beyond, but it's not worth suicide or murder or anything. As unhappy as I am with my country tight now, we have shown that we are capable of using adversity to organize an enact positive change. A Trump Presidency would certainly count as adversity (to human rights, sensible foreign policy, the economy, etc) and I very much think that we would find a way to galvanize.

The end of us isn't here yet. Trump is not disciplined enough to put in the effort needed to destroy the US. It's just going to be a shitty decade, and racist fuckbags will feel justified in openly acting upon their shit, at least for a while. That sucks a LOT, but I predict a very big and healthy movement from minorities and even white men like myself here in the US who will change the zeitgeist.

Keep your heads up. A bloated and avarice-riddled nation like this one is bound to see something like this happen. It's not a huge surprise to anyone who has been paying attention. How we react to it will say a lot. Anyone giving in to despair and knee-jerk divisiveness is probably not going to be a part of that story.

They definitely ruined it, and will learn nothing from the experience.

I would say Hillary supporters and Hillary herself are far more to blame...

Even here on GAF, anyone who even dared to speak anything negative against Hillary was attacked mercilessly from all sides.

Maybe I should move to a commune...

Seriously though, America shouted with one voice, "We are racist and sexist and proud."

This is seriously end of an era, end of America as we know it stuff.

If you were a minority (with gender, sex, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion) in America you already knew this unless you are dense.

It's an end of an era of pretending that we lived in a post-racial/discriminatory society.

Honest Question, What happened here?

I assumed that she wasn't going to get the white working class, but did she not get the Black, Hispanic vote as well? Did Bernie supporters not come to her like they assumed?

I thought this was a lock for her?
