Pokémon Sun & Moon |OT| Ultra Beasts and where to find them

Amazon literally just blessed me. Updated my delivery date from the 22nd to the 18th. So freaking happy right now, I really wasn't trying to wait until Tuesday.

Spoiler:

They are post-game content. Don't know if they are too strong for competitive uses though, their BST aren't that high. Need to look at movesets too, the only one I looked at disappointed me.
Ah, ok. Trying to go in relatively fresh, I assumed
that they were sprinkled throughout the game more like the birds from the original games.

One of the few new Pokémon that I'm looking forward is the new mythical, which is GOAT tier already. I hope they don't hold him hostage until the end of the gen, that would be a complete waste.

Fighting/Ghost STAB, dear lord.

It's kinda hard to explain without spoiling anything,
you thought it right but not 100% right.

Gonna head out to my Local Gamestop around 9:00 pm. They are doing a midnight release so I am pretty hyped to play all night.

It is sad Nintendo does not let them do a 9:00 pm release so coincide with the East coasts time zone.

Forget the Fighting/Ghost STAB, that Z-Move is incredible. It's unabashedly a Fist of the North Star Reference in the Pokemon Flavor and it looks so goddamn cool. It's already probably gonna crack my top 5 legendaries.

The base power is lower now (40 power, it was 50 power in Gen V and VI) but it missed because Alola Rattata can have Hustle as a normal ability (it was the hidden ability on regular Rattata) which also lowers their accuracy.

Thanks, I had no idea.

This game as so much more charm and style than XY, and I say that as a fan of those games.

For those wondering, you get the EXP share about an hour in.

I never watched FotNS so it probably flew right over my head, I was still drooling at the stat distribution, stab and ability.

Picking this up tonight, I guess I better plan my team. Does anyone have a link to that alolan calculator with all the Pokemon and their stats/moveset?

I heard from a guy who played the leaked game that Pokemon Moon's time shift isn't there from the beginning of the game, and that it might only be for a short time during the plot like the frozen Unova in Black 2/White 2. For anyone who's actually played it, does the time shift start from the beginning?

I'm playing now. It's always in effect outside of a few short sequences (e.g. the game will make it sunset for a specific scene, and then return to real "moon time" afterwards).

I canceled mine because it said the 22 even though I ordered late September. Fuck that. I'll pay the extra money to get it tomorrow.

Team Rowlet, stand and be counted.

In all seriousness, I am hoping I get a female starter for the first time. In recent games, I have almost made it a habit of making my entire team female, my starter being the only exception. I also try to catch them all with Luxury or Premeir Balls. Not sure why; I just love the looks of those types of Pokeballs.

Rowlet best starter

How do people ITT feel about getting the game digitally? I have a long train ride tomorrow morning, I could get the game at Target which opens at 8 am but I don't know if I want to rush out there even earlier than my long train just to get the game.

I'd prefer a physical but I've also never lost a Nintendo handheld, so...

It could take you 20-30 minutes if you're unlucky. You've only got a 1/8 shot of getting a female starter and the process is pretty slow. Luckily you get a preview of the Pokemon's gender when you choose a nickname.

You can redownload all your digital games if you call Nintendo. It's apparently not too bad a process.

already pre-loaded

I AM EXCITED!!!!

normally I like physical copies but I was getting frustrated by Amazon for various reasons and canceled my pre-order. so far the lack of stress worrying about shipping and whatnot has been a relief.

My preload has been ready for weeks. I need this nao.

I was also conflicted, and this will be my first Pokemon game that I get digitally, but I'm sure I'll appreciate always having it available, and getting to play it as soon as it launches (as otherwise I'd have to import it or pay some ridiculous Costa Rican price) is pretty attractive.

That 1/8 chance is bullshit. Why not make it equal?

It's pretty crazy, especially with how many starters have feminine designs. I wanted a female Popplio but it would've taken an hour. Is it to make it hard to breed the starters? If so there are still Dittos.

Been doing this since X/Y, this time I got physical Moon and digital Sun.

Last ones: OR digital, AS physical, Y digital, X physical.

From what I can tell from my own copy of Sun and watching leaked Moon stuff the opening half an hour (roughly) runs on its own time, and after that Sun runs on the clock/Moon runs 12 hours later. There might be scenes later that run on a set time, I'm not sure.

Best Buy has shipped my copy. I'm supposed to get it tomorrow, but I won't believe it until it arrives. It'll probably arrive over the weekend rather than Friday. I'm surprised the game has shipped already. Normally, the game ships on the day it comes out, rather than a few days before. I didn't choose 1 day shipping either; just regular, free shipping.

I'll be joining the Pokemon community after missing it for ORAS. I'm a heavy breeder so I could provide you guys with a lot of Pokemon, but I'm going to need someone to trade me a 6IV Ditto first.

I have X, Y, AS and now this digital and it's pretty nice being able to play without swapping cards. Nintendo's account system may suck but I'm honestly more scared of losing a tiny 3DS card than the entire handheld.

Are there any online resources up yet that I can use to find out exactly when and where certain Pokemon appear (and what moves they have n stuff)? I'm aware of the leaks but I'm having trouble finding anything myself

This is a good question. Anyone know?
I don't see a single screenshot post so no:

So capture card or N3DS and homebrew are the only ways.

I'm so confused. Someone told me Eevee is exclusive to Sun....that can't be true is it?
Nope you can find Eevee in the wild in either version and also
the daycare replacement the nursery gives you an egg which hatches into an Eevee
