Why do they ban accounts that have acquired the game lawfully? It doesn't make sense to me to punish the streamer because a business sold the game early.

Surprised it took this long for them to get banned.

Because of the Terms of Services agreement that you accept when you make an account. You are violating it so therefore they have every right to ban you. Plus it's their fucking site lol.

I'm saying those terms are stupid. If you get a game early and you want to stream it they shouldn't restrict it. It doesn't make much sense. I understood a bit more last gen when games would leak online but if you acquire it lawfully you shouldn't be punished for it.

If I remember correctly Twitch has to accept some term levels when they are hosting the ability to stream the publisher's game and the publisher has the right to dictate what gets posted and streamed on the site since it's a matter of Twitch or the streamer not owning the rights to the game.

This makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

Twitch's terms prohibit streaming games before release date without written approval from the devs/publishers too.

Companies have PR plans. Someone streaming two weeks out from release unrestricted is pretty detrimental to said plans.

Brazilian friends: A store that sometimes gets games early just told me they're receiving FFXV on the 27th, so at least for now it doesn't seem very likely that the game will leak here very early.

That stream was amazing, and made the game look really good. The guy clearly knew what he was doing too. It was good press, and he was just doing what had already been shown off. Wanted to see more.

They banned him as soon as he got into the first dungeon lol.

The Stream seemed pretty great. Still feeling skeptical about the game, though. Mostly on how much the general gameplay loop will keep me interested.

6 only okish? Makes me question his view on 15...

He made it pretty clear and I agree with him. If I hadn't played FFVI when I did I just wouldn't be able to get into it. Trying to play FFV now, having never played it before, is a chore. Trying to play FFXI now without any nostalgia to help prop it up is an exercise in futility.

Hell this stream was better PR than what the paid PR people were doing. I think we can all agree the PR on this game has been trash.

Man, I'm torn between using the English dub or going with the Japanese VO to give me the classic text only FF feel (with voices I don't understand obviously) at the expense of my family losing interest as they will no doubt be watching me play here and there which may increase the nagging of me hogging the tv. I'm talking about my wife and two kids (6 and a one and a half year olds).

Ist world problems
to keep with FF's Roman numerology =P

My friend's UCE status says "shipped" on the Square-Enix store, they're in North America. I'm in UK and mine says "Delivery status: not started" :/
