How is Wishiwashi and Decidueye? They look super reliable too.

Decidueye is cool/good but he needs help, alone he'll get wrecked the moment he finds a dark physical attack (and there are many). Wishiwashi is gimmicky but it works, gotta EV train for HP though for optimal results (talking about main story here). Tanks like a champ after that.

That's because people didn't realize an extra mechanic. Some Pokemon can call Gabite to assist them in Moon.

I think Serebii's version exclusive list is all correct.

All 4 of those mons are available in both games.

Early speculation was they were exclusives because Goodra and Garchomp were excluded from the initial raw encounter dump from Moon (along with Vanilluxe). This was updated 4 days later and it's been proven their pre-evolutions can be acquired via SOS chaining.

Ahhhh, OK. Not all that similar, but it reminds me of how in Ruby and Sapphire, Ruby had more common Minun and Sapphire had Plusle. Both were available in either version, just harder to find depending on which one you had.

I can't say for certain that Gible/Gabite's more common in Sun, I haven't seen Sun's encounter tables. I just stated Moon there to confirm it happens in Moon.

For fun, I decided to quantify my feelings on every Pokemon from Gen VII on a spreadsheet. I made my final update before I get my hands on it!

The results are quite what I expected, with Pokemon from Gen VII getting an average score of 5.37037037 (out of 10), which is by far the lowest of any generations for me with the second lowest being 5.91025641 (Gen V). This is, of course, not including Alolan Forms and Alternate Forms, which have different scores as well (Alolan Forms lower it to 5.121212121).

It was a TON of fun working on these spreadsheets and it's enjoyable to quantify my feelings ^^
