He made it pretty clear and I agree with him. If I hadn't played FFVI when I did I just wouldn't be able to get into it. Trying to play FFV now, having never played it before, is a chore. Trying to play FFXI now without any nostalgia to help prop it up is an exercise in futility.

FFV is okay if you do the four job fiesta, and don't think about the story at all.

There's already a 7gb patch in there people assume is the day 1 patch actually. Apparently these patches take a while for certification, so the likelihood of another patch on the 29th is slim. I have no doubt there will be more patches in the coming months though. This being an open world game and all.
