Wishiwashi was actually the easiest one in my opinion. I had more trouble with Gumshoos. And every single one after that one has been pretty close and I almost lost each one.
How difficult each of the Totems are usually depends on Team Composition, I'd actually say
is the most difficult Totem in the game overall because it's consistent, hits hard, has a team mate to inflict status, has a check to status and so on. If there's a totem where Nuzlockes go to die, it's there.
On my EXP share, Set playthrough, most of the Totems were tense but largely fair fights that I could simply implement a strategy to win. I honestly felt much more satisfaction completing one of them than beating any Gym leader in 6th gen under these same conditions and arguably most of the series. Though I'd say overall the best fight in the game is actually a certain pokemon trainer because their AI is somewhat consistent with switching, which gives the best taste of multiplayer in the whole series. If Pokemon Stars makes that fight the standard for the AI for major fights in the game, it'll straight murder the rest of the series.
