This game does get kind of weird sometimes.
Like how the player character can lay down in people's beds and think about them.
Awesome, he does a pirouette.
Yeah, that was really strange and unnecessary. The last thing I'm thinking about when playing pokemon is the love life of some NPC.

Anywayz: After 15 hours I must be strong and say that for Gen 8 I should never spoil anything. Not even the first trailer. I spoiled so much of Moon, even the final boss and still am enjoying discovering stuff and exploring the story. If I didn't spoil all the Pokemon and stuff, I know it would be alot cooler so I'm really really going to try a total blackout for Gen 8.
After pressing A on every thing in your room at the start of the game and seeing the odd text they wrote up for that, I do it with every bed just to see what on earth they wrote for them.
It's weird and sort of creepy, man.
Edit: Oh yeah, and the most, "?????????" moment so far was when I got a Moomoo Milk at a cafe, and the barista told me that it would make me wish my mother was a Miltank.

The ones from Pokemon Stadium were perfect. They should have did something like that instead of running all the old cries through some weird filter.
Some old cries, like Murkrow, you can clearly hear they wanted to emulate the actual sound of the animal. But they've never been updated to actually sound like what was originally intended, but just limited by technology.
I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life but how about instead of poring over a list of every pokemon available in a new game and planning out your team to the letter before the game even comes out, you just go with the flow, use whatever pokes you find that look interesting and actually get surprised when they evolve into something neat? They've made it so easy now, practically giving you the EXP share when you start a new game and giving what used to be trash pokemon in earlier generations viable early game movesets.

I hate this so much. It makes SOS fights incredibly draining. Even if you can kill one of the two Pokemon in one hit, as long as you can't kill both in one hit and the remaining Pokemon doesn't fail to call for help you're just burning through HP and PP so fast.
Also, not being able to catch Pokemon when there are two on the field really sucks. I hate getting a Pokemon down to red health only for it to call in help and I just have to change up my whole gameplan.
Yea. There's a bunch of weird stuff (albeit still humorous), but maybe it just stuck out to me because of her skin color (Though I guess she's probably not black), since it's a common nasty stereotype/trope that black women have a hard time finding love. Like, there's even a Stuffal plushie that comes with a reference of how single people tend to love it. I'm certainly overthinking it, but it's still hella awkward nonetheless.

Yeah that seems to be the case. I got a little inspired when I watched the Giant Bomb quick look of this and saw the childlike wonder Dan displayed when one of his pokemon was evolving. I wanted to feel that again.
I took a cursory glance at some of the evos in this gen back when they were first leaked but have forgotten most of them. Also, aside from the dugtrio with wigs I dunno anything about Alola forms, so I've been going into this game pretty blind. I've got tons of pokemon in my box that I want to level up and evolve and I have no clue what any of them turn into. That feels a lot better than playing with a Bulbapedia page open checking final evos and movesets for everything I catch.

What's the stat spread on a schooled up Wishiwashi? I noticed that when mine turned into a school, its speed dropped pretty heavily, but just about everything else shot up a lot so I'm just curious.
I'm not sure if I'll stick with it for the entire game, because I'm excited to try out Wimpod, Dewpider, and Mareanie, but it's still really fun to use right now. Why are there so many cool water types?! I can't use them all!

I'm finally back to progressing in my own game. Decided to drop my Pikachu for a Jolteon so I could use a different Psychic type for later.

Oh, and Plumeria's theme is fucking ace.
I actually have no idea when I should evolve it, because the levels you get moves at seems to be totally different from Gen 6.

Don't traded evolution pokemon have the same moveset as their pre-trading forms? In which case it wouldn't matter when you evolve it. Unless they've changed that from before.
I don't think I'd have minded if calling for help took the entire turn. But it pisses me off they can attack and call for help back to back- it's asinine.

Do you have an NNID linked? If no just change country in system settings. You have a seperate wallet for each country so any existing funds will be there when you return.
If you have NNID linked that will cockblock you from doing the above. The good news is it is only a 3 day wait now. Game out on the 23rd. If you like write a grumpy letter to Nintendo about not being able to change country of an NNID (most account systems do have this problem but that doesn't make it acceptable, at least on Wii U you can get around this by making another user, changing country then setting up that NNID) and also the bullshit of it being delayed in the first place but I have a feeling it is the Pokemon Company forcing this for some reason (my theory is Game Sync servers blowing up which is just as lame a reason as the common it's because of street dates getting broken).

Normal Wishiwashi with its base stat total of 175 detroning Sunkern as lowest base total:

It's only 3 more days, well nearly 2 since this day is nearly over.
I don't like how we have to wait an extra 5 days and I will be pissed if they do it again for the next game.

Finally finishing up Alpha Sapphire in preparation for this on Wednesday. I loved Hoenn, but this never quite clicked with me as much as HG/SS did.
Hope S/M is better. Any opinions from that from people who've played all the 3DS titles? After loving Black and White, both XY and ORAS massively underwhelmed me.

This is massively better than the very forgettable 6th generation. It may potentially irk you a little with its cutscenes and handholding, but S/M has loads of story content and personality to make up for it. And the stuff they're doing to replace gyms and such is so refreshing, makes it feel like your journey to be the best actually matters. And surprisingly, it can be pretty challenging at times too. (But just in case, I'd advise you to use Set instead of Switch if you haven't before, and consider turning off your Exp. Share as well.)
