Only 5 female characters seems really low neoxon

Yeah, but when we're looking at a smaller roster it makes sense; end of the day, there aren't a lot of major female-lead Capcom franchises, and while there are a huge list of amazing women in Marvel, I'm not sure how many of them would displace the major male characters- a lot of whom are probably going for MCU synergy.

I could see Jill replacing Leon, maybe JaneThor instead of Odinson? A couple of the minor capcom characters like Captain Commando, the Felyne or Asura could get replaced with a Regina or Nillin or something.

I definitely don't want a safe roster for 4.

Yeah that is true. Losing Xmen and having MCU focus makes it harder to fill in depending on their criteria.

Nice.

I agree, but I feel like we'd have heard less about it being super MCU focused if that wasn't the case.

I want a game with weird shit like Machine Man, and Devil Dinosaur and Man-Thing; I just don't think 2016's Marvel will approve that game anymore.

I'd like to see Nilin appear in the game, to be honest.

The first time I saw Remember Me, I immediately felt like she was designed for a crossover game; say what you will about how the final game turned out. Does Capcom own the franchise or Dontnod? I assume the former, right?

ya'll really expecting Capcom to launch a game with a whooole lotta characters huh

them niggas could barely release SFV with 16 fam...

I think it's more likely that we might see 28-36 characters roster for upcoming game. However it would be awesome if we are going to get 40 characters roster since Marvel have a rich library of many good characters, even without X-Men and Fantastic Four.

I still think you guys are expecting to many returning characters from 3 in general.

Well, I think Capcom might have good numbers of veterans, comparing to Marvel if there is X-Men/Fantastic Four bans.

Reveal is supposed to be at Capcom Cup, not PSX. So later tomorrow night.

There are two different sources so we should watch both just in case. One guy said at PSX, and other guy said at Capcom Cup.

What does that have to do with anything?

SF4 first release had 16 characters, and Marvel 3 still had 32.

With Marvel's involvement, maybe they pressured Capcom to include key characters...which would probs be more than 8 characters. I hope.

Hey.

I played KI in 2013, when the game launched with a whopping SIX characters.

16 at launch is fine by me, especially in a game like SF.

Keep in mind that SF4 launched with 16 as well, and you had to unlock the rest.

Nillin would be a great fringe pick. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but I agree she was made for this and yeah, it's Capcom's IP.

I don't buy the small roster stuff. I never really did, but now I straight up don't believe it since it doesn't sound right based on whatever Ryce was told.

Going back in a loop. But I still stand that if they really wanna appeal to casuals it has to at least be on par with MKX at minimum. Amount of characters and story mode is what they demographic look at most I feel.

Oh man, if they finally give us the full story they said 3 would have.

Get Ewing to write it- my hype will pierce the heavens, Capcom.

I've made a few edits, with one of the addressed complaints being the lack of females.

The Monster Hunter Pokemon stuff would be a fantastic way to get some iconic Monster Hunter creatures in their without having to care about scale; good shit.

Are these characters in the poll real characters because I've heard of none of them 😶

Based on the ones i do recognize, im assuming they're mostly inhuman related characters, the joke being that Marvel is pushing Inhumans in place of mutants as they try to diminish x-men brand awareness.

That's a pretty normal amount for the first revision of a fighting game.

The Vs. series has a history of asset recycling. I'd be very surprised if Capcom decided to start from scratch again for MvC4.

I actually enjoyed the game, I appreciate what it was doing for itself. Could have been better, but I enjoyed myself.

Capcom owns Remember Me.

Me too. I like her design and Neo Paris could be a really cool stage.

What would really get me is the remix of her theme or even a stage of hers if it happened.

I really, really hope there's a story mode. It would be nice dumb fun and be a great way to rope in newcomers.

I've been told that it's at PSX. It also makes sense - who announces a game as big as a new Marvel at 2am est?

Is it really all that different than the people who announce games in the middle of the day in Japan?

Not that I don't believe you or anything.

I've been thinking that what we might actually be in store for is a announcement trailer at PSX during the day, and a gameplay reveal at the CC finals later that night.
