That character encompasses so much stuff that there's no way a single move set would satisfy.
With stance change between fighter, strider and mage please.

Fun thought I had. Say the MCU Actor rumor was at least partially true. We get someone like Daredevil and/or Punisher and/or Luke Cage and they get their respective Netflix actor.

They're also licensing characters for inclusion in what is a video game (not a commercial) first and foremost.
This is why the supposed "MCU focus" is worrying. It's bigger than just the X-Men. You're talking about literal dozens of characters that'd play really well here, but are suddenly ineligible, and for no good reason at that. They need to be careful not to lean too far in.
Especially since the MCU doesn't even need the help? These things cross half a billion dollars with ease, which is why I have trouble understanding why they want to take MvC down this road at all. Casuals don't care about the "MCU" distinction at all.

But like I said way early in the thread, when I would hate having Ryus playable to rep old stuff. Hayato, Jin, Batsu, Falcon, etc. all bording bastards.
Also, bringing a gimmick character back o replacing with equivalent gimmick character makes the joke not funny anymore. Phoenix, whoever, gotta go

I just can't see that many UMvC3 characters returning on Capcom side.
- Someone in the trenchcoat team is getting cut, and Dante is not the option
- Leon is cool and everything, but classic Jill or goddamn Ada would be better
- I feel like Ryu is not "needed" (I like him, though), Akuma is the better crossover shoto character and could be easily the only one
- Megaman HAS to be in, let Zero skip this round

Nooooo. Leave Zero be. He's actually a fun character, and a majority of the time the people that don't like him are just making him a scapegoat because they're PO'd at Capcom for neglecting Megaman/X.
Agreed, she's my favorite Inhuman, though I don't care about Inhumans in general. Black Bolt is boring in comparison.

Well you've got four of the five movie members already. But I think you can technically combine Groot and Rocket if necessary.

Leon is one of the most beloved characters in the series, heck in all of gaming. The only character that is acceptable to take his spot would be Jill, and maybe Chris. Other than that it would be pretty disappointing. Especially for Ada. *barf*

I think Gamora is a lock for this game. Even if it came down to those two Gamora would take it very easily.
Gamora's the more popular one of the two.

Well, I wanted to answer to the lack of female characters on Capcom side and Jill was the easiest choice for that, while Ada would be another major female character

Polygon doesn't really mention Rocket at all, and Eurogamer mentions him alongside Groot, so I don't think its out of the realm of possibility. But separate or not, we'll probably see Groot early on, possibly tomorrow, if they're both going to mention him like that.

Eurogamer said "Groot, Rocket Raccoon" separately. I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of Rocket & Groot teaming up, though.

What would Black Widow bring to the table? Guns, martial arts, hopefully those sticks that she used in AoU, maybe stundisks but I don't know if they'd do that. I guess she could zap people with her Widow's bite bracelets. Maybe they'd bring in her grappling hook?
Would they be able to incorporate her stealthiness into the game in some way (maybe like X-23's L3)? I guess she could have tons of counters into her moveset.

Technically, Elektra did have her own movie, but at the same time, most people want to forget about that.
Regarding her popularity in relation to Gamora though, Gamora was probably the least popular of the movie Guardians, so even if she was in the movie, I don't think many are clamoring for her. Personally I kind of find them both stale since they're just warrior women types. Makes me sort of disappointed in retrospect with Lupinko bringing up Magik, who could fill that role and have a lot more going for her.
As mentioned earlier, I'm not sure Wanda's making it. As much as I adore her, she's been banned more often than she's been allowed.Is this where we post our hopes and dreams before they are killed tomorrow?
Those leaks are breaking my heart and the game hasn't even been announced yet. :'(
Also, you have only one of the Guardians, especially with reports of Rocket & Groot being playable. And no Captain Marvel?
