DOTA 2 v7.00: New Journey (Test Client Dec 11, Main Client Dec 12)

Have to say, really don't understand why the introduction of talents is necessary, especially when they're so... boringly done.

So that list seemed to be real, but some of the changes seem to be really, really unbalanced. Maybe it makes more sense in combination with the rest, but it sounds a bit fucked up..

It's more that some of the talents were fucking nuts.

Giving characters 2 seconds cooldowns on abilities with 1 second stuns.

For some characters hitting level 25 essentially makes you god tier.

I am sure things will be broken and will get patched rather quickly which is what has always happened with major reworks.

Monkey King is fucking crazy holy shit.

How will the tree hopping work in the multiple different tree designs of every terrain?

What's going to happen to our old HUDs?

yeah they probably didnt test it either so its gonna be a broken mess in-game, just people dying way too quick and shit.

I don't really see what talents make the game any worse. It seems like a new way to deal with an old problem, that being the game can be decided purely in the pick phase. While this might still be the case, the talents seem to allow players to make mid-game strategic individual choices to meet changing needs.

But who am i to judge. it's different so it's bad?

I can't actually believe they would do these kind of talent tree changes because that adds so damn much additional information newbies will have to learn over months. I mean, I might love it, but to see a developer take this step that adds complexity for newbies is sure a hella rare sight.

Hahaha bulldog's stream right now. This is hilarious and a lot of these changes look amazing.

If talents enable me to play support anti-mage... hoooooo boy.

Liking everything so far other than the talents, which in some cases appear broken. Of course, reading is one thing and playing is another.

Can't wait to try Monkey King, looks super fun.
