Have to say, really don't understand why the introduction of talents is necessary, especially when they're so... boringly done.
Well, the reason they're in Heroes is so you can majorly buff specific abilities without creating an item that could be totally broken on a different hero, but they are way more extensive (even granting or massively changing abilities) and replace the entirety of the item system in that game.

So after years they pretty much had a perfectly balanced game and said "fuck it, change everything". ok.
Let's see how it turns out while playing and if tournaments get more or less exciting to watch.

Am I just stupid or is there any reason to pick 1.25 extra seconds of ice path over -50 respawn time?

Of course? They're extremely beneficial for different situations. +1.25 extra seconds on ice path is fucking insane. You hit with one of those and the difference in a major fight or so will easily outweigh having a lower respawn timer.

Srsly either Icefrog really left or he got bored of balancing a dota that felt way too balanced.

Back to the wild west of brokeness. :D
Love it.

Talents work in HotS because that's all there is.

Adding them in addition to Dota's already vast itemization choices makes absolutely no sense.

honestly some of these talent trees seems like change for the sake of change

of course im no balance expert or a developer but it feels that way. the hud are nice but shrine (ifreal) and the backpack fundamentally cahnges late game

Hud looks really sleek. Glad they finally updated it.

Regarding talents, I don't hate the idea of them, I just feel like it's going to be really hard to balance. We'll have to see on that though, will take a some days/weeks before we see how they fair.

It's adding to the complexity, which I find interesting when the past few patches have done stuff to try and remove complexity.

OMG heroes no longer get additional attribute.....
that skill tree make sense, initially I thought the gap between cores and support will be too big because the additional skill tree it wont be the case

what does the bacpack do ?

* Heroes now have a backpack that provides 3 extra inventory slots to carry items around with you. Items in those slots are not active and do not grant any bonuses. Backpack items can be used to complete recipes. You can swap items from and to your inventory.

Rules:
- Items that are in your backpack are Inactive (cannot activate nor benefit from passive bonuses)
- Items that are moved out of your backpack remain Inactive for 6 more seconds.
- Item cooldown at only half the rate when they are anywhere except your main inventory
- Cannot put the following items in your backpack: Gem, Rapier, Bloodstone and Aegis.
- Items can always be moved out of backpack with no Inactivity timer when near a shop

* Disassembling items now tries to fill your inventory or backpack first before dropping to the ground
* Disassembling items auto-locks them from combining with other items. Use right click to unlock.

basically you can carry 8 item, but 3 item wont have effect on you actively or passively. I guest this will be buff more to suports as they can easily change consumable support items ( low cds) rather than to core juggling refresher manta bkb etc (they still can but that reduce refresh time will hurt it)

6.82 destroyed any trust I had in hin, the game has gotten much worse since then, and apparently the trend continues with this

Agreed. I wish I could go back to 6.79/6.80, or before that. Hate all these changes to gameplay. If I wanted garbage branches with copy/pasted design I'd go to HOTS or League.
