SUPPORT SLARK BOYS
Added Scepter to Slark. Reduces ultimate cooldown from 60 to 30 and causes Shadow Dance active to be a 325 AoE, hiding allied heroes underneath it.
 
Some of the changes I'm reading here sound good, others sound bad. One thing's for sure though, I haven't played DOTA in a while and this patch is going to make me reinstall it and try it out.

Some of these item changes are pretty big

Also clarity and salve only being dispelled by heros and rosh is fucking HUGE for supports and junglers. like seriously what

Okay I now get the point of the talent trees: they effectively are a replacement for levelling stats. It also folds weird hero-specific things like Invoker's level 25 AOE blast into it nicely.

And let's them give bonuses to heroes that normally don't get much out of the bonus stats. So they really didn't care about levels after 16. Now they might .

And yes, your respawn time is reduced by 50 seconds.

the top level skills seem quite strong for certain heroes.

Realistically, the vast majority of games don't go to level 25, so they backloaded all the talent powers there and really put in some silly stuff knowing players will rarely choose heroes for their 25 talents.

It will all get figured out down the road but for now it all sounds mind blowing. Like, some heroes can get 15-20% evasion as a talent now. That alone changes so much in terms of what heroes you'd want to draft or how'd you want to itemize.

Or stuns that can suddenly go through BKB, another potentially game changing talent.

I feel really bad for OG though. They're looking so good and now they have to relearn the game all over again. It's all up in the air as far as the comp scene goes.
 
I bought the winter pass and barely played the game, I guess this is the time for me to return to Dota.

I wish the performance on my computer was better.
 
Techies and Veno have a talent that reduces their respawn time to a base of 40 seconds at max level.
A freshly-bought bloodstone reduces your respawn time by 36 seconds. Uh.

I love all the stupid, stupid theorycrafting I can do with these talents. It's great.
 
I know that people are going to hate these changes at first (naturally) but I'm REALLY liking the direction they've taken.

These gameplay changes don't take away from the complexity and still keeps things fresh.

Definitely gonna jump back into the game now.

It might be harder than you'd think. Lucent Beam's windup is pretty harsh. I actually think a carry Luna might seriously consider the stat bonus, spending so much time NOT autoattacking might be a problem.

I know the kneejerk is fun but actually someone do the math on +15 agi and how it affects moon glaives. Lucent beam in lategame has a not that great casting point, that probably overall lowers your dps. It's great for chasing down stuff though.
