It actually still has some turn-based (or psudo-turn-based at least), although the main combat system is more action-rpg it still manages to not go full KH, (ie: press button to attack once, hold to combo attacks, mashing is like holding, but worse).

seems to be from that underground shortcut you take from forbidden woods to yosefka's clinic. That'd be a church giant getting ready to punt you and getting cannon-countered.

You're gonna get shot at no matter what you do. There's plenty of time to hide and recover when you play being exposed like that though.

Exactly. I had to turn the difficulty down to Normal after starting it on Hard because of this.

I'm not sure. I think it is just another area down below. But yeah, no load screen transitions. Literally fall down to another area!
