The excitement. The anticipation. The sugar and buttery snacks! It's pretty cool to be here. I think I might see it a few times. And I'm glad I chose this theater. Reclining red seats. Are you excited for this? More or less than TFA?

I'm... sort of but not really. The line is wrapped around the theater but it's for the 7 showing. I'm going at 10:15. But I was in line anyway out of boredom and anxiousness and some guy and I started fake spoiling the movie. I said that I heard Leia dies in it, and some kids got fucking pissed because they think they're about to watch Episode VIII.

So now I'm sitting in Buffalo Wild Wings drinking beer until I decide to get back in line. By the time I get over there maybe my showing line will start forming. Or something. They also started, right before I left, some "hardcore" trivia in which the first question was "What is an Ewok?" Feeling that this trivia is out of my league, I walked away.
 
Do we need to link to the reserved seating thread? Because I'm sitting at home nice and toasty right now ;) Goin out for dinner at about 6:30 and the movie starts at 8.
 
At a bar next to the theater. Waiting for a friend to get here for a pint then we're walking over to the 7pm imax show.

Reserved seating ftw.
 
Got here 3 hours early. They let us into theater already. 5 of us are holding down front row seats for 11 of us. No line waiting for us. Show starts at 7 PM.

I'm in Florida and it's cold as fuck

But again I have sought refuge at Buffalo Wild Wings for now. Line is huge but for the first showing.
 
Was desperate to find a theatre with decent seating in my area and tonight I hit the jackpot. Laid back here in a nice recliner with 20min to go.
 
We have our (terrible) reserved seats, but there's totally gonna be a line for popcorn, so we better be at the theater by 10 for our 10:30 show. Going to have dinner with the friend who is coming with us first, (not BF though, he has to work till the movie, wtf...) Not looking forward to the cold, was out earlier today getting my nails done in imperial black (with blue squadron on ring fingers) and was GOING TO DIE.

Also literally have my hair wrapped up like Jyn Erso. Literally because my mom got me the Hot Topic jacket which has the scarf attached. I pray it keeps my ears from falling off. It's already down to 21 F here at 6:40 ;_; So while I'm sad the Ziegfeld is gone and we can't go see it there, I'm not sad that I won't be standing in a line out there in the cold for hours before the show!!!!
 
Four hours and one final exam until I see my first of three screenings in the next 24 hours. The wait is killing me and I literally can't study for my final.
 
Heading over in an hour or so for my 10 PM. Don't care about the "best" seats so I figure getting there 1.5 hours in advance should be doable for a good seat.

It's fucking cold though. Hoping I don't have to wait outside.

More excited for this than TFA since I'm seeing this one in legit IMAX. Went to a LIEMAX last year because my roommate didn't know the difference.
 
Hell no...30 degrees here in NJ. I'll be getting reserved seating...2 weeks after opening, to hopefully avoid the overhyped crowd that claps when the movie starts...and ends.

Why do you people not reserve seating? Waiting two or more hours in line to watch a two hour long film, damn.

The film is amazing though, enjoy!
 
Bigups for reserved seating, show is in a bit over 3 hours and we are leaving the house for dinner soon and will get to the theaters 15 mins before showtime, and the theater sells beer and wine inside too. boo-yah!

hope the movie is good though
 
Got out of a late meeting and raced to the theater to meet friends. They're still at a restaurant and didn't get seats.

Oh well, I got one of the last reasonable seats and get to see a movie I'm excited about in a few minutes!

Not all theaters do this, and tbh I like meeting like minded people in line and just bullshitting Star Wars until the movie starts. It's something to remember and talk about.

If you don't remember specifically selecting a seat when you purchased the tickets, they are likely not reserved. Or, it will say it on your ticket. If not, it's just regular seating. As far as showing up....this is a big movie, show up early if your seats aren't reserved. Fuck 'em if they get there late. If they find you, they find you.

Ohhh I thought that by you saying you weren't sure how many people were going to be there, you meant that you were going with a group. Okay well yeah...I guess you can't leave her in the dust, or YOU will be a Rogue One. But yeah, if they're not reserved, go early unless you want the neckbreaker seats.
