US PSN Holiday Sale Week 3 (12/20/2016 - 12/26/2016)

Is it time to finally buy GAF's favorite game...?

I've never played a Souls game, I'm very intimidated by the prospect.
Do it.

I was in your shoes as well. Never played a Souls game and it ended up being one of my favorite games ever after I stuck with it. If you need tips and assistance, Gaf will aid you. Do it!

Damn. There goes my try to stop buying games.

Yesterday I caved in and bought Prison Architect.

Now I bought Rayman Legends, Party Hard, Minecraft Adventure Pass.

I would like to buy Overcooked but I don't have anyone to play with :(

Mirrors Edge Catalyst doesn't interest me much but looks like a good deal at that price.

EDIT: I didn't even see Bloodborne is at $8, that's so cheap! But I get frustrated at hard games, so now matter how cheap it will probably be wasted.

So for Bloodborne, and not having played a Souls game, is it worth it to pick up the Complete Edition from the get-go for $20? Or should I just buy the base game first?

I believe I heard the DLC is integrated into the main game really well to where experiencing it on an initial playthrough is ideal compared to NG+, and since the DLC itself doesn't go on sale much it'll cost more later down the road to buy separately and upgrade. I'm just not sure what to expect, worth the extra $12 investment?

I don't really have the money right now, but at that price I'm reeeeeeally tempted to pick up Bloodborne Complete Edition. It's even the same price on Canadian PSN!

So two questions:

1) Has Star Wars Battlefront gotten any better or more filled out? I'd bought it on launch for XB1, but it felt really limited, and I was not aware, at the time, of how much of the game would be locked behind paywall.

2) If it's worth picking up now, which version of the game gets me the most bang for the buck?

I have Bloodborne on my shelf, sealed. Should I pick up the digital version or are the complaints about dvd drive noise when playing disk games over exaggerated?

Considering everyone with the vanilla game is clamouring for a sale on DLC by itself, it might be best just to go for the Complete edition.

Bloodborne – $9.99, $7.99

Welp. Gonna buy on Friday. I simply cannot resist a deal THAT good.

Once the game finishes installing the disk doesn't spin anymore. If installed and you start up the game it will verify the disk you put in for a few seconds but that's it.

Bloodborne, no excuses. inb4 Frame Pacing detractors.

EDIT: Fuck yeah, Mad Max! Just in time to rest comfortably on my new 2TB Firecuda.

EIDT:
Wow, really? If that's that case, you might as well just wait for it to hit Plus.

I was just messing with the BB DF :p

Of course I'll get it at this price.

Ah shit, that's alright then. Won't bother with digital version.

Thanks for that.

I really didn't have the patience to play Dark Souls III, but the $10 price on Bloodborne is tempting. Should I give Dark Souls another go before trying Bloodborne or is BB more beginner-friendly?

Okay I'm at the PlayStation Store won't let me buy blood-borne digital. I own the physical copy but they won't let me buy it because it keeps telling me I'm not eligible to buy that game. Anybody know what's up with that?

Think that happened to me. I think I had to delete physical for it to work. Kept the save tho.

You got me. I've seen some posts similar to yours where the poster was dead serious, so I bit hard here.

But you enjoy it. Game is mad fun. Hope the Father G fight gets your blood pumping and ready for more.

not much for me this week. in fact the only thing i am eyeing is mirror's edge. would cost me about 2 bucks after i use the 10 buck coupon sony sent me for buying my pro. that or i'll save it until next week. either way, i nice break from all the spending i've been doing the past month or so.

Lol, I bought the Bloodborne CE @ launch and still haven't opened it.

However, for that digital price, I'll double dip.

Thinking about Muramasa Rebirth Complete Collection too.

Does anyone know how MGSV The Definitive Edition is downloaded? Is the game just GZ, TPP and DLC downloaded or is it an entirely new file?

Because I bought GZ awhile back for $5 and TPP vanilla isn't on sale as TDE is being pushed. And with the DLC on top of being on sale usually like this week, TDE is a better deal even if I already own GZ.
