Steam Winter Sale 2016 thread of hoping for better deals elsewhere

That Witcher 3 DLC never gets much of a discount. The season pass doesn't have a discount and buying the two parts separately saves me about $3.

Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human is much much worse than I expected it to be. It's a big empty annoying world, and the whole game is just frustrating boss fights. Surprised at how little I liked it. I would strongly recommend against buying.

Castle in the Darkness is a hard Metroidvania that I liked a lot. Your sword's radius gets longer later, so just suffer through the first 15-20 minutes when it's excessively hard and frustrating. Totally worth it in the end.

Lovely Planet Arcade is currently available for cheaper elsewhere. I believe it's less warmly received than the original Lovely Planet, but still well liked. I haven't played.

Broforce I liked less than most. It's certainly zany and maybe if you had someone to play it with you you'd like the cheese, but I found it just OK and a little lacking in variety. I wouldn't recommend against buying but it just didn't do it for me.

Thanks for the head's up on Lovely Planet Arcade! Sucks to hear about AAotLH though...looked pretty fun from the gameplay vids.

IIRC it'll become first come first serve, but people will still be limited to winning one of the raffle keys. You should have pretty good coverage regardless, there are a lot of eyes on this thread.

Oh, that's cool. Wouldn't want someone just swooping in and picking up the remaining keys.

Yeah, $6 was my trigger for ABZU. Will be good for getting those last few games of the 52.

Bundlestars has Capcom games in their sale now also. So for example, Revelations 2 is cheaper because you can add the 10% voucher.

They also have that Street Fighter 5 Deluxe you guys are talking about, same deal (and 10% on $45 is $4.50 less so not insignificant)

How is Momodora: reverie under the moonlight? Is it piss easy like the new Shantae? I can't get into piss easy games at the moment. Does Momodora offer some challenge?

It is beatable. But you can run into some trouble.

Also, there is a "no hit" run that i think you will like.
Gameplay is tight.

bought....pricing mistake?

It was $10.49 a couple days ago as a deal of the day on Bundle Stars during their winter sale.

Anyone know of any retailers with current deals on steam cards? Would like to get a bit extra if possible. That Best Buy deal right before the summer sale this year was great...

How does Bundlestars distribute the SFV package? Is it one key for all three items, or separate keys for all of them? (SFV, season pass 1, season pass 2)

I got a Steam pop-up the other day saying Gamestop had a 20% more trade-in value when converting to Steam cards.

It's not exactly fitting the bill of what you asked, but it's something if you have other system's games to trade in.

Hell, if you tell the thread you're trading in Uncharted, you might even get someone to gift a game to you out of principle.

I have no idea dude

I think Ill just play the Final Fantasy games on the Vita.

Might get Mekazoo. Was interested in this when i saw a trailer a long time ago. Didnt even know it released though.

Hoping Superhot drops a little more. The Witness on sale is $20. Still seems like too much for that game.

Song of the Deep i could get, and maybe Talos Principle Road to Gehenna, but overall not a lot for me that Im seeing.

damn...want to roll the dice on this pretty bad, but I already own SFV. If I could gift SFV to someone and keep the season passes that would be dope

well even on steam the deluxe edition is the game and the 2 season passes seperate so maybe its seperate keys? I have no idea

the bundlestars page doesnt actually mention what it comes with either so beware. Like, I dunno if it comes wiht the second season pass for exmaple. I mean it should if its the same as Steam but I have no idea.

Game is massive.

The Witness was worth the asking price.

Had such a good time with that game. I pulled out a notebook to sketch out puzzles and help visualize the solutions. It's pretty lengthy too!

Game constantly changes stuff up with its puzzle design. highly recommended bro

My recommendation is Seraph, it´s 66% off.

Pretty cool 2D action game with some rogue like elements. The UI could be better, but the action is pretty fun. You dont even need to aim - aim is automatic - so you concentrate on jumping around and doing moves to escape your opponents while you try to reach the end of a level. You can also level up, get new spells, weapons and so on.
