US PSN Holiday Sale Week 3 (12/20/2016 - 12/26/2016)

Everyone get Bloodborne and it's DLC. If you're intimated by what you've heard of it's difficulty, don't be. The beginning is tough. Especially if you've never played a Souls game before. I assume some people quit early on.
But once you find gear and kill your first few enemies you move past that the rest isn't as hard. You just get used to it and you upgrade and level up and the game isn't really any more difficult than a Devil May Cry or PlatinumGames game.
Seriously, it's a great game.
I just picked up Bloodborne thanks to the sale and I can attest it's way easier than DS so far.

I actually didn't realize I was supposed to pick up a weapon in Hunter's Dream so I was three hours in, over 4,000 blood echoes just slapping bitches with my hands. :/ Finally I caved in from frustration and had to look online for where/when I get some badass weapons. Yea, I was pretty pissed that I was supposed to pick that up when I first died. Ugh. Once I got the weapons, holy shit, like cutting through butter.

I got Overcooked tonight, hoping for something fun to play with my bf, but neither of us enjoyed it much. Sucks that there's no way to try this stuff before buying, no refunds, and not even a way to just gift the game to someone who would like it.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to play through more of the game. The first few levels the gameplay was pretty bland, though the music is great. But I was genuinely surprised at how creative the levels were as you get further along. They can sometimes be frustrating, but it totally depends on who you're playing with.

The game was fun when I started it with my daughter, but even more so once my younger son joined in as well. Then it was enjoyable chaos. I've heard the game really shines with four players since the levels often split into sections. I plan on roping in my wife or oldest son for some four-player games this weekend.

Hope you get your money's worth, but I do agree it would be great to re-gift digital purchases.

Just received $10 of psn credit from Sony, no ps+ on this account.

Eventhough I'm Captain Casual, should I jump on Bloodborne?

I am not casual and I have it, tried two times to play it and "gave up".. The game is way more challenging than any other, and even though I am consistently dying I can see that I just need to concentrate more in the game and it will be fine. I think its not the kind of game to play when you are tired or on a rush... Yesterday I stopped playing it to play NBA but I will go back to it this weekend, because the game is really well made (character design is already incredible and I've met less than a dozen enemies LOL).

Dying consistently is intended if you have never played the game. It's all about trial and error and every encounter is meaningful. But you can run past many when you figure out what you need to do.

exactly. You cant just go walking and fighting anyone anytime. In Uncharted even when playing in the hardest difficulties for example if you dont have a good strategy/positioning you can always run and hide somewhere else and you will still have a good chance of succeeding . In the little a played of Bloodborne if you do one mistake you are dead within ONE second and that is it. I can see some people getting frustrated by this, but for me it is a good thing as I am tired of these easy games where there is no challenge at all (Sleeping dogs for example, a great game but its so easy that in the end I was bored and just wanted it to finish...)

All I ask for is Titanfall 2 and BF1 for the flash sale.

The XB1 sale is making them VERY tempting.

I Am Setsuna too please.

I was considering picking up SW Battlefront, never played it. Is it worth jumping into now, or is it unfriendly to new players?

It's casual: the game.

Jump in. It's good, arcadey fun. If you're an old school star wars fan, you'll like it.

Edit: you'll need the season pass. The base game was controversially light on content.

Guilty, being the operative word here.

I would describe myself as a casual and I ended up platinuming it.
Fantastic game (still my gotg this far), just expect to die (a lot), it's part of the process.

And remember, you can always level up or call for reinforcements if you are stuck (I overlevelled a bit myself, but never actually called for help).

Does the Muramasa Rebirth Complete Collection have the DLC as separate downloads or is it all in one game? I'm only interested on the DLC which is why I'm asking.

lol how is this extremely disappointing unless you expect brand new AAA games to be like $10.

Id just rather get $10 games from a year ago than $40 games from a month or two ago.
Prices are dropping so fast that there's no urgency to buy something like FF15 now. You either buy day one or you buy it once it's $20 or so, which will be in probably 2 or 3 months. Paying anything in between is a waste.
