It's night and day comparing Downwell on mobile to Steam with a good controller. If you liked everything beside how it controlled then it's a no brainer getting it on Steam.

I was hoping someone would say that. I'm going to have to give it another go I think. Thanks.

Damn, was really looking to get the Skyrim Special Edition since I'm tight on money but 30 bucks is still too much..Any chance it gets a far bigger discount next sale?

I think so. Bethesda is pretty good at discounting their back-catalog, as opposed to someone like Activision. I think it's 30 just because it's a fairly new re-release.

Steam is down because they are upgrding the servers for when Half Life 3 drops as a free christmas present later today

You can port characters from uPlay to Steam?

I'm talking my save file. I don't know if it's possible, but I was able to port Splinter Cell: Blacklist's Uplay save (that I got for free with my GTX 760) to Steam (because I like having my Ubisoft titles on Steam for playtime and easy list so I don't have to boot Uplay outside of loading the game). I "pre-loaded" on Uplay for the weekend last week because Steam didn't have it pre-loading until I was done the day before. So I'm trying to make sure that character (that was rushed to 30 and hit the end game within 25 hours of heavy playtime) can be used on Steam.

Break off from work and it's down... I suppose I'm not the only one breaking up! (was supposed to hit the pub tonight but feeling rough, that 30 quid's going on more games :D )

As an aside is Just Cause 3 good now? Heard it had a rough launch?

I had no problems with it and I had fun. It is very repetitive but flying around with the grappling hook is a lot of fun.

Which is the better game Doom or Deus eX?

Torn between those two games. Really enjoyed the PS3 Deus Ex and I thought the Doom demo was okay, but perhaps it wasn't a good representation of the full game?

Which Deus Ex? The latest one is apparently incomplete and ends abruptly. Go for Doom and buy Deus Ex when they release the sequel.

You need quite a bit of ram.

I don't get it, can't Valve just rent some extra capacity from Amazon or Microsoft for the sales?

it went down 3 hours before peak load time when new deals would start, if there were still new deals, which there arent. So its not even a server load thing.

Doom is awesome. Deus Ex Mankind Divided was a snorefest to me and I really liked Human Revolution

Picked up Doom and Deus Ex to play on my new laptop, only for the damn thing to turn up with screen problems so had to send it back. Sigh.

RIP Steam.

I'm seeing a lot of Abzu purchases. Is this a game where you just relax and explore?

What do you think of it so far?
Yeah, it's a relaxing exploration game. I really enjoyed it. Lots of details hidden in the background, and really appealing to the eye.

edit: top of the page, buy Xanadu Next when steam comes back

As someone that didn't get Tiltbrush with their Vive (it's no longer included), I'm torn on getting it. I'm not an artist at all, but it seems like it would be fun to mess around in/demo to others. Just not sure it's worth paying $20 for something that is (to me) seemingly a gimmick that might only get an hour or two of use. Any thoughts?

I played around with it when I got a Vive demo and it was top class. Really amazing to experience drawing in full 3D space.

I'm not sure if it's worth $20, but I'd definitely play it more than just an hour if I had a Vive.
