Steam Winter Sale 2016 thread of hoping for better deals elsewhere

why are his genitals exposed in this comic. the comic already has a joke to it about disgaea's heavy rpg mechanics, but then on top of that there's the unrelated fact that this fellow is stretching to reveal his family jewels. like, what?

It's a running gag that he's obnoxious and brazen. Consider it "character work" combined with a cheap gag.

Thinking of picking up a Souls game. Never played any of the series (though I've watched the Vinny/Brad playthroughs on Giant Bomb). Is it best to start with the OG or should I just grab the third?

The keyboard controls on the first one are a little bit obtuse. If you can get past that the game is still amazing and I'd start there.

Is there a Project Highrise guide out there? I'm annoyed at how I keep getting complaints about noise and smell.

My (maybe final) Winter Sale haul:

recently bought age of wonders 3 during the fall sale. Now, warlock exile 2 (then the badly reviewed extra leaders for a mod) and endless legend. still got armello on wishlist since the dlc isnt really on sale. all similar games. in fall I also bought terreria and starbound at the same time. Not sure why Im doing this but they are all cheap.

waiting to see if tales of wuxia gets dlc or the sequel tomorrow as they are announcing something. hope it comes with a discount.

Is MGSV worth it for 18€? I have played all previous MGS and even Rising but having heard mixed opinions about MGSV I just wanted to ask.

Thanks in advance

Absolutely. Story, or lack thereof, is muck but the gameplay is excellent and there's plenty of fun stuff to do. Well worth it at that price.

Absolutely. The mixed opinions you hear are mostly due to the story. Mechanically, the game is in my personal top tier of stealth games.

Are there any good online fps/third person shooters in steam? I mostly play H1Z1 kotk but it's filled with bugs. Anything else besides csgo,tf2?

I have heard good things about paladins but that is more like overwatch. Otherwise quake arena still has lots of people playing it and is as good as ever.

Gamebillet has it for 8£ (9.39€). At this price, it is a no-brainer. Use Wintersale coupon to save 10%. I picked it up on PS4 day 1 and it was worth it. Picked it up again for this price. Other than some story aspects being weak, the gameplay is one of this generations best.

He's bringing balance to the fanservice. Lord knows there are enough random boobs and ladybutts out there.

Also
Because two jokes are better than one.

Got a £50 voucher from the in-laws. Very nice.

What should i buy, GAF?

TBH i might pre order something i really want like For Honor or GR Wildlands.

Fallout New Vegas (2010)

Wait, when does Team Rocket use guns!? :o

----

Anyway:

Is there anyway to get the GTA5 bonuses "Welcome Back" package WITHOUT having to play the PS360 version? Because if not, is it worth renting the previous gen version to do the prologue and then giving it back to play GTA5 on PC?

Or is there a way to get those in-game without doing that? Because seriously fuck Rockstar for that

Should I get Dying light at its current discount(60%)? Do you guys think it'll get 75% off at some point or should I just buy it?

This is a scheduled automated repost on behalf of someguyinahat, who is running this raffle.

I started and finished Tengami tonight. It's a nice light puzzle/adventure game. The art and music are fantastic and the puzzles are thought-provoking enough (though they do reuse a few of them). It's only an hour and a half, so I recommend it to those who want something they can finish in one sitting.

I'm looking for a game <10€ that I can play to relax. Preferably with controller. Cities: Skyline sadly didn't do it for me.

Portal 2 is pretty nice with all the created content and should be playable with a controller
Terraria on low difficulty can be a relaxing game though i havent played since the last big patch.
Crypt of the necrodancer is really good with the music but as a rythm roguelike can be kinda hard to reaaaally relax unless you play the character that doesnt use rythm
Prison architect is a really good game plus the new expansion added more fun things with the guards but it is not a controller game as much as i know.
Antichamber is a really nice puzzle game that can be relaxing or infuriating depending on your state of mind.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is probably the closest thing to mario kart in pc.

Some of the things i can recommend in the under 10€

Nice thanks for the info! Were practically all the complaints from launch fixed?

Crazy things happen, but my copy now don't work at all (can't find executable, something with antivirus software? But i only have windows defender..), at launch TOS works just fine, even without fix..Sorry for disinformation (but you can refund it anyway, if game don't work)

Seasons After Fall.

Looks lovely and I whishlisted it but I'm looking for something open-ended.

Thanks for the tips. Already have Portal 2, Prison Architect and SASRT. Love Portal 2, have yet to play Prison Architect and Sonic didn't do it for me.

Will look into Terraria. Or is Starbound a better option?

I grabbed:

Pillars of Eternity
Kentucky Route Zero
PAC-man CE 2
PAC-man 256

If you're going to backlog it, it'll probably get more discounted in future. However, if you're going to play it straight away, it's a damned great game. I'd recommend going for it.

Haven't played starbound that much but I enjoyed terraria more as starbound was more linear in the beggining, forcing a more tiered launch (at least in the early access/first patches). Meanwhile terraria has lots of content from all the patches.
Another games you may enjoy and are cheaper are:
Dungeon of the endless - a really nice roguelite
Enter the gungeon- a reaaally amazing roguelite with a new expansion soonish (should have gone by now :( )
Lego Marvel Superheroes - probably my favourite lego game with lots of marvel superheroes, kinda like the batman 3 lego game. Lots of things to do :D
