Steam Winter Sale 2016 thread of hoping for better deals elsewhere

Bought Dishonored Definitive but it's not showing up in my library?

I downloaded and started it up successfully but it's nowhere to be found, even after restarting Steam.

Odd.

EDIT:
It's just Dishonored with the DLC, there's no separate app for the Definitive Edition as far as I know.

I mean to say there's no entry for any kind of Dishonored in my Library at all.

lmao

Yo what?! lol

Steam being ddos'd?

Loading extremely slow for me and signs me out of every link I click, browsing via the steam client for windows.

Well then SteamGAF, I've decided to at least buy me 1 game on the, comparatively, more expensive/low discount side of life and after careful consideration my choice fell on...

Since it's very unlikely to be bundled or discounted lower any time soon (it's only sold on Steam after all).

Let's see if it lives up to the hype :p

Enjoy the game XOXO

Would anyone recommend Tales of Zestiria over Trails in the Sky? Or is TitS really just the better game?

The answer is always TitS.

But in all seriousness, they are very different beasts. Trails has amazing world-building, story and writing, with servicable turn-based gameplay.
Zestiria has really awesome action-RPG combat (although it is most definitely over-complicated with subsystems and subsystems and it's something that needs a fair bit of practice and memorizing all your stuff, which can be a turn-off if you don't want to put the work in), whereas it's story is just servicable. Characters and their interaction were pretty fun, but they're also really anime.
Also the whole skill and equipment system is shiiiiiiiiiiiit. Would pay for a mod that removed that garbage.
Or I'll just wait for Berseria which seems to be all the good things Zestiria did done better and without the bad parts.

It depends on what you want, but TitS is most definitely the better game overall.

Xmas brought me a power outage and then an endless errors of automatic repair. Had to reinstall Windows. Fun times.

That's the reason I've got an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). I've lost a network adapter on my motherboard due to a power outage once.

How is the new Batman Telltale game? Downloaded the first episode and it seem above average.

Also is Talos Principle any good? I just finished portal and portal 2 so looking for a good puzzle game.

Enjoy the game XOXO

Just completed the first chapter. Yeah that was pretty damn fucking good already, and I can see that I've only scratched the surface so far.
I loooooove the artstyle. It's beautiful.
Music is really good as well. I listened to it a little on youtube before buying and I wasn't entirely convinced - it felt a little weird - but it really fits when playing.

Joyous Yule!

If you thought the first episode was average I wouldn't bother with the rest of the season (At least not at the current price.)

It had an interesting premise but I never felt like they followed through completely. Strong mids but the ending was very predictable. Unfortunately the later parts of this game was also where Telltale's engine started bugging out (serious hitching during car scenes, missing lip-syncing etc)

There are Cheat Engine tables out there that let you fix this so it's not completely awful to have the abilities you want on a piece of gear without over-complex eternal farming.

Bought overcooked and one piece pirate warrior 3.

Any other coop/local multiplayer game gaf recommends?

Isn't pirate warriors 3 a shit port that is permanently locked at minimum graphical settings because the settings are broken and were never fixed?
Unless it was another OP game or I'm misremembering.

Whoa!
That might actually make me start new game+.

Anyone got an opinion on Windward?

Still looking for an open-ended game I can play with my feet on the desk, the mind almost off and a controller. Preferably under 10€ but a few bucks more won't matter.

Current contender is Terraria though I would prefer something where it's better to move around with an analogue stick.

I highly recommend Duelyst...for the very low price of FREE. Very generous card game that's like Hearthstone but with more creative card abilities akin to MtG. It's like cross between magic and chess.

The Talos Principle is great. Good puzzles (not the best in the genre, but better than Portal imo.) and the writing is outstanding. And then the Road To Gehenna DLC is even better than the main game. There's also a lot of content, especially if you want to hunt for the optional hidden stars.

Steam running like trash for anyone else?

Yes, trying to get the trading cards but it constantly either doesnt react to "Next in Queue" and if it does then the next one it says "Login to add this to your wishlist etc bla"

Annoying

cant be so much to ask to have this shit running normally for once in a sale

Yeah. I'm able to add games to my cart, but when I go to check out, I sit on the "Verifying account information" screen for longer than usual, then it just says an error occurred and to try again later.
Lol, it told me that my credit card company rejected the purchase. Looked at my history all confused (especially since I was using paypal credit), tried again, and it went through.
