Steam Winter Sale 2016 thread of hoping for better deals elsewhere

Aight, thanks for all the info. Should work out fine then, since I don't think sports games are as intensive as those racing or fps games. The price is just too good to not give it a try. :d
Agreed, I paid $40 I believe and have no regrets. Just a heads up that not every single game works 100% perfect.

steam support actually got back to me after a day to fix my steam wallet code =o I was preparing for the worst, well anyway, take my money, getting prince of persia the warrior within and the two thrones (yeah they're crap deals but whatever, not going to wait another fucking year) and the old TR games

14 days after I sent Steam Support an easily replicable bug report with detailed steps, I get a response saying that they have forwarded my feedback to Steam support and I should also feel free to post feature suggestions in the feature suggestion board.

I responded to say that I'd like to keep the ticket open until the bug fixed, and just to be clear the ticket is for a bug, not a feature submission.

I don't know if this was widely known, but I was buying the Trials games, and I had Trials Fusion the Max Edition in my cart, and when I added Trials of the Blood Dragon to my cart the price of Trials Fusion dropped by ten dollars. It was a pretty nice surprise and I don't see any mention of a discount on either of the games store pages.

Any cyberpunk recommendations? I'm feeling something first person that really pulls me into the world.
Syndicate is a cool one, although not available on Steam. 😔 Still worth it though, especially in co-op if u have some buddies to play it with.

When it turned to a bullet hell game I lost it. WTF! LOL

Sold ya the game then?

Sounds like they send u the wrong automated message. 😂

Played through Xanadu Next.

It's pretty alright. Not really an impressive looking even for a 2005 game, maybe the N-Gage(!) release held it back. Or maybe Falcom just isn't into higher polygon counts or something.
Anyways, I enjoyed the main loop of dungeon crawling, upgrading etc. The story is a bit eh, it comes together at the end but really it's barely there for the most of the game and isn't anything to write home about. Music is pretty dope.
I do wish that some of the key items would have been permanent passive skills instead of equippable items. It's just a hassle to keep swapping between the stuff that's only used to solve puzzles or punch rocks and such.

I wasn't able to get a straight answer looking through the reviews, so maybe this thread can help. Is the DLC included for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1? Also, apparently there are controller issues. Have those been addressed?

So Frog Fractions 2 has been out for couple of weeks now?

I was wondering why Giant Bomb's interview feed had a surprise interview with the creator.

So I have the hardest damn time running games that use denuvo. Both RE 7 Beginning Hour (I believe this uses denuvo?) and now Dishonored 2. I got lucky ONCE and got beginning hour to load, but every other time "Having problem reaching the internet"

Now I'm getting the same shit trying to open Dishonored 2. Any fix for this dumb shit?

Yo GAF, can anyone recommend a twin-stick shooter from the Steam sale under $7...?

I got Assault Android Cactus from the Black Friday sale...it was alright.

Enter the Gungeon and Isaac Rebirth are great choices.

If you still have a bit left, I recommend:

As well. Great modes and fun to play in short bursts.

I started playing Dragon's Dogma again for reasons, from the beginning. Didn't realize I had put in 24 hours before I quit last time.

Thanks for the rec's y'all!!!

For now I'm planning to get:
- Waves
- Geo Wars 1 (I'd want Geo Wars 3 but not for $8.99 though)
- Beat Hazard

I might pick up Gungeon before the sale is over. Binding of Issac's style is just not my thing. Even though I have fond memories playing Gauntlet in the arcade this new game unfortunately just doesn't evoke the retro feels in me.

Okay, I'm a relative 4X newbie and I'd like to find one for me and the girl to get into, but not at an expense. I'd like as modern of a design sense as possible, so nothing super old. But the price point I'm looking at is around $15 per, so if she doesn't end up liking this, I'm not out a ton.

She didn't like the aesthetic of Endless Legend enough to get on board with it. Is it just gonna be Civ V? Cause I'd like to find something other than Civ V, maybe.

Is this any good single player?
I played through the whole thing single player on the hardest difficulty, and it was fine outside of a few levels and the final boss. The final boss was challenging enough on normal even. It scales up the enemy mobs with however many peoplel you have. So if you have 4 people, you have 4x the enemies or something like that.

I've been playing Heart&Slash, and I've gotta say I'm really not feeling it so far. I read it was supposed to be a roguelike DMC, but the combat is nowhere near as precise or deep. It just feels really mashy rn. And it lacks the variety of other successful roguelikes. Bummed out since it looked so promising. Hoping I'm maybe just missing something?

Age of Wonders 3 or Civ5 would be your best bets. AoW3 is the best fantasy 4X on the market, with great combat and lots of variety, and Civ5 would be the best alternative choice. Just note that AoW3 is more combat-focused than Civ can be.

They both have really good UI and presentation which makes them easy to get into. Also, while I think they're both fine online I haven't really played either multiplayer to say for certain.

I got some Steam gift cards from family members, so I used them today to finish out the rest of my Resident Evil collection on PC. I've had great experiences with REmake, RE4, and RE5 on PC, so I figured the rest of the ports had to be competent. So I got Revelations 1 and 2, RE6, and RE0. Didn't get Operation Raccoon City though... I do have some standards :-P

What's the best Musou game on Steam? I was leaning towards DW8 Empires because of the light strategy elements but apparently it's not that good.
