It's an odd thing isn't it? I don't think I'd ever have the word "handsome" associated with any schema associated with women. I put that in the same category as "sturdy" :lol

However in a different culture or different age bracket "handsome" is probably used fairly regularly to describe a good looking woman.

Handsome women is a time/place sort of thing. It fell out of favor in the US sometime in the early 20th century and recent trends towards calling a woman "handsome" fall in line with "manish" or something similar. Language in general is weird.

Also, the more recent guys were both in the process of a divorce and both had women falling all over them literally moments after becoming single. Not sure what that is, but it would be nice to have a little of it.

I bought new glasses about two weeks back so my avatar isn't 100% currently accurate, but this is the most recent flattering photo of me I can find.

Might snap a new one tonight after I shave. (I'm a bit scruffy at the moment.)

Totally felt that way when I first did it a year or 2 ago. It's like I wasn't my "GAF" self anymore and felt less comfortable just letting this weird personification of myself say whatever I wanted to.

Now I'm pretty comfortable with my appearance, and my real self is more tied to what I'm posting, so the stuff I write doesn't really change (as far as I can tell). You get used to it.

I didn't SINCERELY try, but I did attempt to keep up with and be interested in the ever-changing flow of conversation for a minute. I like the sharing and manipulation of images, but as far as actual close-knit conversation I can't always get into it.

Close-knit conversation has its advantages.

For example, if this were FakeGAF, I would link this thread and jokingly say it was a thread made for trab pu kcip. Who incidentally I have not seen in a while. Perhaps she was lost in the destruction of FakeGAF. Alas.

It was a rush for sure. I rollerbladed and skateboarded. I liked skateboarding for its technicality. Its a lot harder to learn and master. But on the rollerblades I could just go balls out and jump a 20 set staircase or pull off a massive misty flip out of a bowl or hit a huge kinked rail or something. Its so hard to get that good at skateboarding. Rollerblading got my adrenaline pumping more out of the 2.
 
I made the mistake watching Pacific Rim again. Now I can't get rid of this

I was never very good at skateboarding but I did it anyway and was able to hide in a group of my better skateboarding friends and kinda just be super cool by association, then I broke my board and couldn't afford a new one and was just like "fuck it I'm done".

I have a co-worker who longboards to work, he's like 45. I can't tell if that's commendable or not.
 
I'm friends with a guy who use to be real big in the inline scene in California. He actually moved out to San Diego when he was younger and worked on a magazine out there. Wish I remember the name tho...same with the video game he made an appearance in.

Yeah I was never that good at skateboarding either. I could ride a mini-ramp. I could launch out of the bowl and I could do a handful of flip tricks and a few different grinds on a ledge no higher than my knee. Wasnt hitting any rails or doing any staircases or launching over any boxes or anything. I gave up on it and every other "extreme" sport after a few nasty injuries from some spills while snowboarding. And one big accident on a snowmobile that fucked me up bad.

I never skateboarded. I didn't learn to ride a bike until I was 15, didn't get my driver's license until I was 23. I've just accepted I'm behind on everything.
