I just went to see Rogue One and I think I got a new favorite Star Wars.
I ain't going to do spoilers or anything but it's certainly pretty good in parts and kinda bafflingly edited in others.

Rogue One felt like a good date to me.
The first two thirds were awkward at times, with some laughs and some touching connections thrown in.
Then the last third is a whirlwind of action and an explosive finish.

RO was one of my fav SW movies for sure, but some of that dialogue in the first half was really awkward.

I liked Rogue One but something felt off on parts of the film. Still prefer it over Force Awakens since that one feels a bit too much on your face with the references and cameos of previous movies and didnt try rethreating the style of one of the films while each film on the 6 movies (even the awful ones included) tried to do something different each.
