Not a new year's resolution, but I'm hoping to reach my weight loss goal by August or September. I'm about a third of the way there.

I wouldn't mind bulking up a bit. I came down from 270 in HS to around 160 where I hover now, and every attempt to get toned just makes me start to gain bad weight again. Maybe my body is predisposed to it because I grew up fat, or I just suck at taking care of it because I have no idea what I'm doing. It's one of those two. I already do cardio six days a week for an hour each time so adding to that makes my lazy side shiver in terror.

It's a very half-hearted resolution of mine to get more muscle tone.

A bigger resolution of mine is to get my own apartment.

Fantastic job on that weight loss, that's a huge amount to lose. How tall are u tho, cause 160 is only relevant if ik your heigh haha

I've been underweight or borderline underweight my whole life except for the past two years. Now I'm just at the edge of a healthy weight and I don't carry it very well. My fat unfortunately mostly goes to my face and stomach. :(

I need to see what my sister's verdict is.
 
Yeah, I'm a small dude so smaller weight fluctuations can be noticeable. It's not like I get super chunk or anything, but when I was going through a pretty heavy depression 2 years into last year I gained enough that it made me hate how I looked, which made me depressed and yada yada endless spiral. I've lost enough where I look fine I guess but my weight is still not ideal. Like to lose at least another 10 but I have to be careful because I don't want to get into old habits like when I was anorexic for 6 years. I did major damage to my stomach that it will never recover from. I've been using a calorie/food tracking app which has helped things a lot, at least in keeping me steady instead of slipping back but my metabolism being permanently fucked means if I have cheat days I carry that shit for a number of days cause my body is still convinced that if I'm eating shit I need to hang onto it because I won't eat for a while. Such is life but whatevs.
 
I still need to switch to a more healthy diet. Wouldn't be such a problem if they filled my gut better so I won't be starving the next hour.

Not a resolution, exactly but I am actively trying to lose weight again. I've shifted to a low-carb diet, which I thought I'd dread but it's actually been pretty effective at controlling my cravings and I don't feel like I have to eat all the time like I did when I was scarfing crabs like no tomorrow. If I could take off forty pounds (I'm 225 now), I think I'd be happy. Maybe fifty. I'm also starting to walk thirty minutes a day, which is about as much as my body can handle, given the chronic illness I live with. Sometimes I have to shorten that to fifteen, depending on how I'm feeling.

(I do miss pizza though.)

That is correct. Lived in Tampa for 2 months but that didnt pan out so well so I went back to PR. The streets havent changed much maybe gotten worse with the craters that don't get fixed. LOL
 
Honestly if you're fine with whatever weight you're @ then it's all good but I hear my early 20's is supposed to be my best shape so i'm tryna get there A$AP

Early 20's is awesome if you're in good health. Still have good metabolism, easier to muster up the energy to work out, and easier to recover from drinking (lol). Definitely a good time to get in shape if you want to. I'm in my late 20's now and I'm feeling the difference creep up on me... it's slight, but it's there.

Others have reported feeling fine well into their 30's though, so YMMV.

Yeah, I think you can get away with more in your 20s. It wasn't until I was in my 30s that I was starting to feel like the weight was getting harder to control and it was having more of an impact on my health.
 
I've been sicker than usual, and moving to a new place means that I'm no longer allowed to be on painkiller for a chronic, uncurabled painful disease without being treated like a drug addict, so I stopped talking them to get back to my baseline. Which means I'm back to barely being able to get out of bed and I have to struggle through the most minor tasks.

Fuck autoimmune disease, fuck the opiate epidemic, fuck pain.

Hey, I've lost 20 lbs because the pain kills my appetite, so I guess that's good. Though I am concerned that some of it was in my boobs. Grr.

So my new years resolution is to try and figure out how the fuck to survive and eventually get a job like this.

I've been slacking and plan on hitting my workout routine hard next week. It's a good thing I eat a good diet.

Definitely in this boat, however i started before new years.

I spend too much on clothes while treating my body like garbage.

Ye man. Diet is so important. If you got that down you are already ahead of the game. I do alright with my diet but I keep slipping here and there and fall back into eating like shit for a while. Definitely notice the difference when Im eating right.

I wish I was just born with an appetite that made me want to get up and eat more. My appetite is what most girls want, it fucking sucks. Force eating is a bitch and gaining elle bees is expensive

Pasteles. Its a plantain bater (and some other things) with meat inside that you fold on the plantain leaf and a paper (forgot the name) and tie it up and freeze em. When you cook it you throw the whole thing and boil it for about 45 mins and take the leaf and paper people fold it in and eat away. It's delicious but too much work to do it yourself. Thankfully grandma makes em and I have enough in my freezer.
