Link.

20th Century Fox's Logan will have its world premiere one month before its general release, according to Deadline. The R-Rated film will premire as part of the Berlin International Film Festival, which is scheduled to take place February 9 through 18.

Logan is scheduled to open in North American theaters March 3.

Must've high hopes for it.

That certainly does suggest that the studio is confident in it. I mean the Wolverine films so far have pretty meh Origins sucked while The Wolverine was average. They seem to be using some interesting source material for this one so I am kind of excited to see it.

That trailer looks cool as well so I'll probably see it when it's in cinemas.

Please end like this

I think X-Men 3 had an early premiere at Cannes in 06, so yeah, don't read too much into it.
I'm still super confident about this film and I'm excited that we'll be hearing non-fanboys impressions a month early.

Press getting a screening of this tonight. I'm in there. Pretty sure there's no restrictions on talking about it after I'm done, too.

Talk to you guys tonight.

GAF is depending on you to rep your nerd cred and constantly make obscure references to The Last of Us.

Sweet. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it.

Pretty sure embargo ends tomorrow too so we should start getting some reviews then. Hopefully this isn't another X-Men Apocalypse situation with screenings happening this early.

Its time for everyone's favorite part of a hype cycle: random twitter impressions!

Heartbreaking. Brutal. Beautiful. #LOGAN

@HungerHuman
#Logan might legitimately be the most beautifully resonant and well-realized "superhero" movie to date. I said it.
#Logan is @RealHughJackman's swan song as #Wolverine. Thank you James @mang0ld.

#Logan raises the bar for what super-hero films can be: Artful. Soulful. Character-driven, not spectacle. Honors Jackman & Wolverine.

Keep in mind that these are almost always very positive

So I guess we can conclude from this that Jackman already won Best Actor next year and that Logan is in the running for Best Picture? Amirite?

Is it okay to discuss potential story in here? Spoiler thread coming up early?

Because the tone of the movie seems way darker than the end of DoFP. That really bugs me and I hope they handle it well.

He got covered in adamantium and suffocated to death when it hardened, which ended up killing him because he didn't have a healing factor at the time.
He was essentially succeeded by X-23 and Old Man Logan.

It's gonna make his Oscars opening number really ironic.

Thats true. But this one might actually be it since the dark knight. My expectations are absurdly high after the trailers and promise of a more emotional and scaled back movie.

Ok now you're just hurting yourself. Lets just hope for a good movie lol

The hype for these things is not to be believed...

Early word said the last Star Wars was the film fans always dreamed of and that Doctor Strange was one of the most visually amazing works of film art of all time.

Film centric twitter soundbites always feel kinda weird to me. Not singling it out because of this film, it just always seems very inorganic - like it was someone's job to post these exact words at this exact time.

I am happy to see someone is excited, but some tweets feel like they are a few steps too close to #ad. Maybe it is the fact I have no connection to the people behind the words.

Anyways, sorry for rambling.

Dope. I was planning on dropping the franchise after this since it seemed like such a fitting end to singer's xavier/Logan arc. Like end of an Era shit

Glad to hear it felt like that I'm assuming

To elaborate: It's a good movie. Top tier in the series. Is it the best? I dunno. Maybe not. Close, though.

Mangold sticks the landing though, which, so far as I can remember, has only happened one other time: 3:10 to Yuma.
