- Spider tanks. I am totally down with dinosaur robots. I am not down with spider tanks. They're boring.
That's... arbitrary
And you think this is going to be some of the worlds best literature?
Are you being purposefully obtuse?

Ah it's funny because I was thinking just earlier today: " Ok, I'm about 11hrs in FFXV, and I haven't really seen more RPG mechanics than what's described for Horizon, aside seeing Stats I can't do much about except equiping gear (1 outfit, 1 "jewelry") and food/ Pots. "Do people consider FFXV an RPG? This seems like the same kind of thing - and that is wonderful IMO. This game may just be my most anticipated now, outside of SpiderMan
I admitted I was wrong. They still look exactly the same in the games to me. Obviously not in real life.
How spoilery is this? I'm getting the game but I kinda wanna see this trailer too.
Asia I would think, they massively under shipped it here, I'm hearing, stocks will be as late as March
Malaysia. Damn pro won't ship until march. I paid full price already![]()
Because you are required to play Gravity Rush 2 first to speed up time for release of Horizon ZD
This has got me excited again. Though I'm still slightly wary.
The reveal trailer hyped me up, but the gameplay videos inbetween were uninspiring to me; not sure exactly why. Maybe when playing the game, the sense of a story, characters, and full-scale environment will give life to the gameplay and to the game as a whole.
David Harewood and Lance Reddick look nothing alike. At all. In games or IRL.
Do you know what, it may well be. That was my first thought but the more I look at it the worse it gets but it's entirely possible that I'm looking at it too much so I just can't see what's actually happening there.I think that is specular shimmering happening due to sudden focus shifting , if that what you are asking for .

Don't feel bad - RPGs in general do not 'demo' well. A few quick clips of gameplay, and if you liked the combat demonstrations then you're getting a good idea on how you'll feel about the game proper, are more then enough to sell the game.
Yep, especially theGetting some Princess Mononoke vibes from this. I really hope is delivers, I'm hyped.
do you mean in terms of design because otherwise it shouldn't be that hard to top the cities of FFXV

Agree to disagree
I was in the Scalebound thread, and gave XBox fans some hope with a possible Scorpio delay I heard about. A delay would mean a better CPU for the box, so none of them really seem that upset about it. Personally, it might be better for them...
ISO 8601 superior YYYY-MM-DD notation says hi.This triggered me. Day, Month, Year is the best date dammnit!
I'm really liking the diversity in that trailer. It's especially great to see hair like that.

I hope they do a Lost Legacy / Left Behind kind of thing.
Her lines are so corny haha. The storytelling seems mediocre.
It looks like the visuals have improved some. How much of that is actually running on PS4Pro as opposed to running on a PC, I'm not sure.

Ordered the collectors edition, want statue of Aloy. This game just gets better and better everytime they show something.
A couple of questions if I may:
1) This is a real RPG, right? Similar to the Witcher 3 or Skyrim?
2) It is true open world?
3) Any estimates of how many hours the main story will take and how many hours including all side content?
Wow, please let this all be explorable and not just be a pretty backdrop like in FFXV.
FFXV was hugely diappointing on the city front. I hope Horizon Zero Dawn will compete with the beautiful and immersive Witcher 3 cities.
4) Any footage of city life?![]()
"Things get chaotic fast in the intense combat of Horizon Zero Dawn, thanks to machines coming to help each other and attacking Aloy from every direction. So far weve seen a lot of action, but not much in terms of what makes the game an RPG. During our trip, Guerrilla stated many times that it set out to make an RPG thats also an action game. The RPG genre made the most sense for the project based on all the systems and quests it wanted to include. Its more of an organic process, but the one thing we did state at some point during development is that we were making an action/RPG and that it was shaping up to be a hybrid of both, says director Mathijis de Jonge.
While Horizon's RPG elements arent super complex, they are there. Various quests are scattered throughout the world and you can upgrade Aloy in various ways. As she levels up, you earn points, which can then be used to purchase upgrades for her. Furthermore, Aloy can equip modifications to her weapons and armor that can increase your attack power or resistance to certain attacks.
Because the game is more of a hybrid of the action and RPG genre, Guerrilla didnt want to leave anyone behind. What we wanted to avoid is complicated menus, de Jonge says. We also didnt want to go too deep with the RPG features we were developing. We wanted to have a certain level of accessibility and understandability for players. We also didnt want to go too hardcore with stats, so at some point we just cut it off and said we werent going to go any further because it would confuse players."
Careful, you may end up with something like this
