It's not bad, but it's still by far their weakest technical aspect.

Yeah this is exactly why I expect this to be more like far cry than witcher.
Lots of news about them hiring guys from witcher and obsidian but people need to tone it down big time because its likely that the game isn't anywhere like those games
A couple of questions if I may:
1) This is a real RPG, right? Similar to the Witcher 3 or Skyrim?
2) It is true open world?
3) Any estimates of how many hours the main story will take and how many hours including all side content?
Wow, please let this all be explorable and not just be a pretty backdrop like in FFXV.
FFXV was hugely diappointing on the city front. I hope Horizon Zero Dawn will compete with the beautiful and immersive Witcher 3 cities.

1: This is an action Rpg as advertised by the developers but they don't want some complex systems hence don't expect Deep mechanics.
2: Its an open world , but some of the poster will say , its a hub like system connected one to another , don't listen to them . Obviously there are mountains , desert and forest biomes in one big open world differentiate by Landscapes.

Story - ~20 Hours and 100% took 45 hour
4: There is some footage or images in PSX decima engine reveal plus HZD panel , you may want to look into it.

I think the writing will feel better in more context during the game. It's difficult to convey a good story and dialogue for a massive RPG in a short trailer. These are one liners plucked from larger conversations so they'll sound a bit corny and out of place.

The witchers trailer was bad too...people judging an RPG's dialog/story off a trailer are laughable. I mean it may turn to shit but you cannot know that right now.

20 hours for story is longer then a lot fo RPG's, Skyrim can be beat in 10. There is more to do then just main story though.

If 20 hours is just for the main story that is pretty good. There are other major story lines as well that have the own progressions. I'm hoping to get a solid 40 hours of playtime. They have not really mentioned anything about the length though which is a slight concern.

That may be so, but that 4chan leak apparently also says with all side content it's just 45h. That's pretty meager imo. The world seems so large though...guess there is not much to do?
I'm not totally convinced either, but to be honest, can someone show me a gametrailer that screams 'writing and plot of this game will be awesome!'?

45 Hr is meagre now? That's longer then say ME. You are jumping to conclusions, that leak may not even be real, but 45 hours is hardly meagre in any sense of the word.

The main stuff that just sounds goofy / off to me is all the "end of the world talk". It just sounds super generic and forced here.
But again I have tons of faith in the gameplay / world design so even if I don't end up blown away by the plot or storytelling it doesn't really matter
Also yeah, the facial animation / capture tools they are using don't translate super great

45 hours is plenty if true. That is longer than Mass Effect games which I considered the sweet spot of RPGs that don't overstay their welcome.

Looks good? Looks better than anything on the market by a long shot so If this looks good I guess all the others games look mediocre at best.
Except BF1, Ratchet, Order and Uncharted 4 and to some extent Gears 4 also impressed me.
Witcher 3 close to this looks last gen and I played alot of Witcher 3, let's be realistic, Guerilla is the graphics king.

I didn't know 4chan leaks are legit now. Sure they were right about ffxv (only one time) but it's also the same place that said dead don't ride/days gone would be about dude with a flaming skull or some baloney and vergil from dmc would turn into a fucking t-rex. They also said knack 2 would be at e3 last year. But hey people are free to believe to what they want to believe.
Also it's kinda easy to judge the writing without the full context.

Mass Effect (45 ~ 50 hours)
I'd rather a more focused, well designed and varied game that is 45 hours compared to the bloated, repetitive and poorly paced open world games out there. Bigger is rarely better in most open world games.

I love those 3 games and those trailers, but I think only TLOU really fits the criteria and it would still be pretty debatable. But opinions will differ.

TLOU has some of the best writing in gaming, the rest really never made your case. The fact is most trailers have bad dialog. The witcher's trailer dialog was awful, how did that turn out?

45 hours of side content is a lot. I try to finish my games in less than 20 hours total.
A lot of this sounds like when people were saying the same thing about Rogue One and it's dialogue based on trailers. Nothing even sounded bad. Hell nothing here sounds bad at all. Quite frankly I think some are just being very nit picky.
