The biggest news on the site is the online paid subscription will include free monthly games ala PS+ from NES and SNES with ADDED ONLINE PLAY. FUCKING SUBSCRIBED!

That's awesome. But, the way it reads is that you'll only have access to those games during that month. It's not a Games with Gold or PS+ situation.

What group of people is the switch aimed for exactely?
Way too expensive for the casuals with barely any incentive to buy.
Way too many bad news and lack of games for the hardcore. Paid online mode, weak battery and subpar graphics combined with barely any original games and way overpriced accessories?

I was kinda hyped and still want a Nintendo console for their librabry but thats some Microsoft reveal shit.

Remember 5 hours ago the debate was whether Nintendo would launch with Zelda, Mario, and Splatoon? lol

Might as well wait at least 2 years before even considering buying on of these. Highly priced and a games which could take some more years until they are getting finished, since there was a lack of gameplay trailers. Disappointing all around. Xenoblade 2, prolly a new No More Heroes, the Square Enix RPG and Zelda were the only interesting games for me and 3 of em aren't even close to done.

These are my top games too. Along with maybe Splatoon 2. Not falling for Xeno being as close as I thought last time.

Crazy Master special bundle for Breath of the Wild, there's also a smaller Special edition and regular. Rest of pics here:

Official Switch boxart. Looks neat.

Seriously, stayed up late (4am) UK to see this, and massively disappointed. Pre-order not pre-ordered.

Fuck, not only have Nintendo screwed themselves, after all this time, they're taking the GAF servers down too.

Not a happy bunny here. What a shit show.

Why were there games that were like barely in development?

shit like no more heroes and shin megami tensei v and fire emblem warriors and xenoblade 2...smh

Because they likely have little to show. This thing is probably being rushed to market in March for the sake of Nintendo's fiscal year or something.

Two launch titles... two. That's like the worst launch lineup in history, it doesn't matter that one of them is Zelda (which is technically a Wii-U game on top of it all).

What are you doing, Nintendo?!
They didn't announce them during presentation but Dragon Quest Heroes 2 and Super Bomberman R are launch titles announced so far too

lol I can't get over this.

You have to use your "smart device" (aka phone) to do voice chat, invite friends, do "lobby" (party?) shit.

There does not appear to be microphone on the console...

Either Nintendo is really forward thinking or really stupid.

Basically it's a two game launch and one of those games I'll be able to play on my WiiU. I'm going to hold off and see which of Nintendo's IP's they decide to use for this system. We didn't even get a new Metroid for the WiiU. We are long overdue for something like a F-Zero also. They have all these great IP's and make very little use of them.

I liked the presentation. One of the translators was terrible but I imagine it was better in a Japanese context

They announced a ton of games. I'm sure they've saved more core stuff for E3

It was a great presentation for the masses.

And omg, that Zelda trailer at the end. Wow. Absolutely incredible. Haven't genuinely felt this excited about a game in a very long time.

Got a bunch of exams around this time though...

I have no idea. It doesn't seem to have a clear audience.

Things really turned a 180 in this thread from the rest of the day leading up to the presentation. I'm a little bummed too. Oh well.

So.. price on switch accessories:

1 Single joy-con: $50
Dual joy-con set (L+R): $80
Extra switch docking station: $90

haha....hahaha....HAHAHAHA.. :(

Yo that is pricy. I definitely know I'm gonna wait a good year before I pick this thing up. Man $80 for two joy cons? Crazy.

Are there two launch games? TWO???
Seeing that my thread got closed, I'll put this here:

This is what I got so far, according to Nintendo's Official site:

Launch Games:
Puyopuyo Tetris S
Super Bomberman R
Disgaea 5
Zelda: BOTW
Nobunaga's Ambition
I Am Setsuna
Dragon QUest Heroes 1-2
Switch 1-2

2017:
Mario Odyssey
Splatoon 2
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Skyrim
MineCraft
Dragon Quest 10
Dragon Quest 11
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

What am I missing?

Launch seems fine to me.

Edit: Made some adjustments.

Somehow I thought Nintendo had finally figured themselves out and what they needed to do bring fans back. After the price reveal and now that other thread with controller prices, along with paid online for a service that will probably be nowhere near Xbox Live let alone PSN... This just feels like the evolution of Wii U along with it's over priced gimmick controller, but I'm glad I have that Wii U now so I can still enjoy Zelda. I hate feeling so negative towards the Switch especially this early, but I can't help feel this is the same out of touch Nintendo we've had to put up with since the Wii era.

The leakers set people up for waaaay too much, and now it comes crashing down. And yet, I get blasted whenever I am critical of leaker journalism...

I set my alarm clock to alert me 70 minutes prior to the event, yet I didn't wake up. :(

Luckily there is a VoD available so I am currently watching that.

Got a bunch of exams around this time though....but I suppose I can graduate from medical school another year lol

Zelda at the end was the worst call ever. It doesn't work as a "one more thing" because we've seen it for years, and it just reminded me that it also comes out on Wii U. I just preordered it on Wii U because this presentation told me it's not worth buying a Switch until November.

This conference was a disaster. So much shit turning up that we have to scrounge through that easily could've been in there. No launch games or anything. WTF.

That Zelda trailer was amazing but man, that conference raised more questions than it answered. On top of the ones it didn't answer.

This is what should've been in the conference. A clear lineup of all the games available at launch. WTF...

Yup; I went in wanting to be won over with a device that would consolidate both ends of Nintendo development and give me the best of the last Nintendo console I skipped.

But between $300 initial price and $80 controllers, paid online, and that across the board weak line-up aren't making a very strong first statement.

Honestly it doesn't matter that this is Nintendo. I don't care who it is having two titles at launch is a fucking disaster....doesn't matter that one of them is botw. They better hope they can hold their shit together until mario launches closer to christmas. Hardware looks great and I could even stomach the $300 price but not having shit besides botw for launch is the deal breaker...at least until Mario launches. Honestly what the fuck is nintendo thinking??

How do you mess that up?

How?

It should have been called Fighter Emblem.

In all seriousness, i'm in for a Switch. I'm a little wary about the lack of discussion about the Virtual Console but Zelda being available at launch is what pushed me into the "Buy at Day 1" crowd. I don't think i've been this interested in a Nintendo product in quite some time.

But seriously, how did they not go with Fighter Emblem?
