Konami has owned Bomberman ever since acquiring Hudson. If the rights were ever transferred anywhere prior to today, I'm pretty sure we would've heard about it by now.

The blast mode in the gamecube version is one of the most fun experiences I've had with local co-op. Definitely a good fit for the switch given the Joy-Con controllers.
