North American Nintendo Switch Lineup

Yeah....I don't think Im buying this at launch anymore

Anyone noticed that the MK8 Deluxe trailer was reuploaded without the April date? Kind of expecting this to March at the very least.
I second the sentiment that Nintendo tries to get as many money as possible from early adoptors, but especially Mario Kart 8 should be able to release any second that Nintendo wants to. Hopefully they think that some damage control would keep the hype.

Surprisingly slim line-up, what have they been up to all this time? At least the MK8 port and that Arms game should have been launch games.

And can you imagine the reactions if Zelda really had been delayed until June?

I mean, Zelda, obviously.

And I've somehow managed to avoid playing Rayman Legends all this time so I might grab that if it's cheap enough.

Seems standard for a Nintendo console launch. One big hitter and not much else, the question is how quickly the other Nintendo games start coming. They can't afford another Wii U situation where we are waiting a year for new games.

You can't be serious, right? Almost every launch since the Wii has not even had a killer app. Yeah this isn't great but it has Zelda and that's far more than any launch has had in a very long time.

PS4 had jack shit to buy with launch. Resogun was basically the best game on it for months. Xbox One had Dead Rising 3 and Ryse. Hardly anything to get excited about.

I'm not talking killer apps -- I'm just talking legit, full-price, full-value games that haven't been previously released. This is terrible.

Steep makes sense but Rayman Legends after all this time? Wow.

I can't figure out if Ubisoft if trolling, or if Nintendo made them do it as penance for messing up the WiiU release.

Either way, it's a good game which hasn't come close to it's sales potential, and Nintendo doesn't have a 2D Mario at launch so it's actually a genre gap filler this time.

Just Zelda for me.

I'm kind of in disbelief. I usually get 5+ launch games per every system, but theres nothing else I want here that I can't get elsewhere.

I'm kind of in disbelief. How on Earth did you get 5+ launch titles for XBO/PS4 without getting something you could get elsewhere?

We had no real info on the UI and other features, so I'm going to say there will be a Direct with VC features and downloadable games at launch, so hopefully there will be some more indie stuff to choose from on Day 1 away from retail.

I mean, this is a couple hundred hours worth of content between BotW and D5.

"I'm only getting 3 games on launch" is such a weird sentiment to me. The only game I had to play extensively on the Wii U is Mario U, so the Switch is already way ahead for me in this regard between Puyo, Bomberman and friggin' Zelda.

If the launch window is bad outside of that though, that would be an absolute cause of alarm for me.

Regardless of Zelda being a WiiU game, DS and WiiU were probably worse than this.

Also it's March. I guess I get why they likely pushed back Mario Kart and that Arms game. Nintendo likely wants to have a game per month for the rest of the year.

Still terrible.

Can someone link me to the page with the North American launch lineup? Not doubting OP but would like to see it myself.

This thing has barely any software wtf , this is DOA. No third party presence, they barely showed anything, except the usual Mario/zelda. Zelda looks amazing but the rest is a disaster.

Lineup is fine tbh. I can understand metering it out so they have stuff every month. Price and pay to play online are garbage

Just Zelda for me.

Wow, really? I tend to consider most launch lineups to be absolute trash. This isn't that great, but it might be the first time there's more than 1 or 2 games I'm interested in. 1-2 Switch, Bomberman, and Zelda are probably my day 1s. Maybe even Disgaea.
