Awesome to see premier costumes, really opens up the avenue for a lot of characters. I'm guessing Shazam will be Adam's.

So 9 dlc characters, I can almost bet that red hood will be a dlc character if he doesn't make it into base. Worst case is a premier costume for deadshot.

Does anyone have the poll results available? I'm hoping etrigan will be a dlc character, same with beast boy.

I'm pretty pumped right now, ready to plop down for the ultimate edition. Can't wait for Tom Taylor's comic either.

I could see Hawkgirl show up in DLC. No way Hawkman is showing up since his brutal death was one of the last things that happened in the comic last year.

I need to check the first game's arcade endings and see if any of them look likely to be followed up on.

I doubt the first two options because the website has a description for each character showing their significance to the story, premiere skins and DLC will likely not be a part of the story.

Tanya and Bo Rai Cho was in the story mode before they where DLC and if they had Chars like Baraka, Rain, Smoke, Fujin and the other girl ninja voice and some even fight why would they not use Premier skins?

I said likely because Tanya and Bo Rai Cho are exceptions and Bo Rai Cho wasn't even a character that was modeled "in game"; only Tanya was

I don't think Mera uses a trident, and she'd look really weird scaled up to fit Aquaman's hit/hurt boxes. Ocean Master is a perfect fit, though. I'd honestly like to see Mera as a DLC character. She could form blades and other weapons out of water and trap opponents in bubbles like Rain.

I wouldn't exactly have a problem with Factions coming back, but they were pretty pointless. They basically meant nothing at the end of the day.

I don't think we'll get any besides the three that have been announced and possibly Mr. Freeze and Cheetah (if they're not standalone characters). The dialog system alone is incredibly time consuming (each character has hundreds of unique lines), so it's not like these alternate characters can be pumped out at the same rate as a standard skin.

Also, Shazam and Sinestro have already been established in the Injustice universe as unique characters with their own play styles, so relegating them to skins wouldn't make any sense.

Captain Cold
A cunning zoner who keeps the opponent at bay with ice shots, ice grenades, ice puddles, and an ice wall barrier. He’s a fairly quick and agile character.

Character Power - Captain Cold summons Heat Wave or Mirror Master. Heat Wave uses his flamethrower, which does extra damage if the opponent is frozen. Mirror Master traps the opponent in a mirror like Zod in the first game.

Super Move - Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and Mirror Master team up to attack the opponent in some crazy cinematic way.

Mr. Freeze
An in-your-face brute who uses an ice beam from a distance to freeze the opponent, allowing him to get in close and take off large chunks of health with powerful battering ram attacks and command throws. He’s a slow, clunky character like Lex Luthor.

Character Power - Mr. Freeze releases an icy mist from a chamber in his suit which lingers for a few seconds, freezing anyone it comes in contact with.

Super Move - Mr. Freeze shoots the opponent’s feet to trap them in place, and it begins to snow as he charges his gun, firing a massive beam for several seconds.

Of course, Freeze could just as easily be a Captain Cold alt.

Pre-order is up on Xbox. $80 in Canada for the base game, $130 for the premium edition. EUGH. That's a $50 DLC price tag which seems really rough. I guess $5.50/character isn't insane, and not that far off what something like Killer Instinct's Seasons were going for, but here's just hoping that includes a lot of other bonuses like surprise premium alts/costumes/Star LAB missions etc. Because seeing it all at once, $50 for 9 characters, seems a bit...high.

What about Superman/Supergirl/Zod, Batman/Batgirl, and Shazam/Black Adam? Those characters canonically share the same powers and abilities, but NRS turned them into unique fighters. It's not hard if you put a little bit of thought into it.

Again, I don't think Captain Cold and Mr. Freeze are going to be separate, but I'm trying to open myself up to the possibility. You just never know with NRS.

From I2, I don't really love any of them so far, but probably Superman's.

Er, no. Cold is a random thief that got his hands on the Cold gun and he forced himself to learn everything about it so he could be able to fix it or make another one if it were necessary.

Freeze (despite the Arkham games would've make you believe) is pretty much the same, with the only difference he's actually bright enough to develop actual freezing tech.

They are so similar that modern comics had to come with the BS explanation that Cold's gun doesn't uses cold but slows down the molecules of anything it hits.

None of what you just said means that they couldn't have unique move sets in this game. For the record, I agree that Mr. Freeze will probably be a premier skin for Captain Cold. I'm just entertaining the possibility of them being distinct characters.

I hope the reason they haven't shown Flash yet is because they are still working on him and are going to significantly overhaul his animations.

In the first game he had such goofy looking attacks, I couldn't stand playing as him.

Also I hope they find a way to implement RF's hand phase, even if it's just an alternate throw animation.

There are a lot of animations and idle poses in the first Injustice that need to be completely overhauled. I'm hoping for a jump in animation quality in Injustice 2 that's similar to the transition from MK9 to MKX.
