Hey guys pre-ordering on amazon. Where you guiven a delivery date?
My order status just days they will send me an email with the delivery date in the future so I'm not sure if that's normal or if it means that I'm outside of the first batch and won't be getting a switch on launch day. Does somebody know the answer to that? 😓

Cool, Saturn.de confirmed my order from their tax-weeks and adapted the price. It was 999 Euros (lol) at that time minus Mehrwertsteuer. They now are billing about 277 Euros so I recommend everyone to check your spam folders if you ordered weeks ago

Amazon.fr says delivery March 3rd, and also they've never run out of pre-orders... I really hope they don't cancel a bunch at some point. Feels odd compared to other sites getting sold out.

it was sold out until yesterday. So these are new or cancelled consoles amazon made available today

Yes, it was sold out until yesterday. So Nintendo is providing a good amount of stock to everyone which is really nice.
I just hope that Amazon adds some games into the bundle like with the 3DS at launch.

The first batch was sold out an hour after pre-orders started and it was still sold out until at least yesterday.
They must have gotten updated allocations from Nintendo so they probably have a few more consoles left than they were initially aware of.

You can skip on the pro controller for now, because there's a controller included. It's like adding 50+ to the price of a PS4, just because it looks more outrageous.

Because there are already also reports that people prefer the pro controller? It's even in the german articles from Spiegel.de e.g. so people will try the recommendation.
you are right, the problem is when we start drawing comparisons from other products in the market.
powerwise this is less than standard X1/PS4 and I have to pay nearing 468.89 for that bundle,
how much would be, say, PS4 slim, Uncharted 4 and a DS4? honest question, but I guess it's less?

Yeah, but it's their choice, then. Just like buying the Elite XBO controller. Especially with the singleplayer game Zelda, there is no need for a second controller. You get a good controller for core games and two controllers for more casual-like or party-game experiences.
@PS4 slim: Yes, the consoles are super cheap as of now and may be sold for less than $200 this year. But people will ask how they're supposed to take their PS4slim along and play it on the train for example. Sony tried a PS4+Vita bundle, but this approach bombed, so the USP of both devices differ a lot.
If a new console enters the game, the old ones are almost always way less expensive and more established. But this is nothing new.

You can also try to go to a big electronics market like Saturn or Media Markt on the 3rd in the morning, they *should* have some there for regular customers.

Depending on how patient you are I think you can find that for around 300 euros. 300 probably being a really good deal. 330-40 probably being more readily available.
Nah, Wii U cured me of the itch to buy a Nintendo console at launch and that was both, cheaper, included a game with Nintendoland at 350, supported my Wii controller collection so I was already set for multiplayer and it was backwards compatible.
I'll bite once the price comes down. It's still a Nintendo system and their couple of high profile and local multiplayer games are enough to justify it in the end.

330 seems ludicrous to me, with zelda that's looking at 390, maybe less if you find a deal.

Aaand it's gone again.
I like the idea of neon but since I'm planning on playing a lot in handheld mode I think I would regret that decision.
Did your delivery date change? If you waited too long when preordering a PS4 you had to wait weeks for the 2nd wave, would be intersting to see what wave 2 of the Switch looks like.

bücher.de is sold out. computeruniverse sells the Switch for 349, i have a suspicion thats why they still have stock compared to all other retailers that sell for 329.

I think the reason Europe got more pre-orders since yesterday is Nintendo confirmed to each store how many units they would get and it appeared to be more than they anticipated. Some stores where I pre-ordered told me this yesterday (in the Netherlands). So thats probably the reason that its not sold out everywhere.
There are also people preferring the XBox Elite Controller and still I wouldn´t put it in any calculations. Amazon is sold out again by the way, just saying :-D
This is something I would`t recommend actually. I mean PS4 Pro and NES Mini aren´t typical releases but it was horrible. But the best launch still was for Wii. That chaos at Media Markt was "amazing".

Yes, I was there at Saturn in Munich with around 50 other people waiting for the store to open.
It then was a crazy chase to the 1st floor.
Luckily I was a faster sprinter then most of the other nerds, so I could snatch one of the 15 units they had.
The grey model is currently still available...
If you try pre-order it says it is gone
good luck with that. While the price will get lower, you'd have to find an exceptional offer to find one at those prices less than one year after launch. It's not like retailers can discount too much.
