Too many people can put up with an erosion of rights until they wake up under an iron fist. People look on the news, see protests by some of the most disenfranchised and say nothing or approve of their silencing. This is the frog slow boiling metaphor taking place right before our eyes and not enough people are willing to realize it. It's why I hate the "it can't happen here mentally" because the people who say it don't realize that things are changing by degrees. You shouldn't need things to play out to their conclusion to realize they are horrid ideas
Oh I know they don't care. I just hope they aren't surprised when sanctions or conflicts with other countries start to fuck up their lives.

Absolutely. What I meant is that this is terrifying because I don't think he thinks he's just doubling down on bullshit. I think he thinks he won the legitimate popular vote. I knew this was coming. This is step one in the plan to eventually pass the most restrictive voter ID laws they can, putting up as many barriers as possible to minorities voting. I would not be shocked if they introduce it right before 2020, making sure it's in effect for that election before the courts can strike it down.
