I swear this shit only happens with Nintendo, not Sony or Microsoft.

It's the same reason as any other "fanart following" thread - make something with a particularly good design and fanart will follow. Sony and Microsoft don't exactly make particularly interestingly-designed consoles, and there's nothing wrong with that, but that's why you don't see a PS4 dog.
