I got the legendary Roadhog and Zenyatta skins today out of 3 boxes, feeling pretty damn lucky. Only one I want that I don't have now is the Chang'e skin but I'm not too keen on paying 3000 for it.

I guess I bought them cause I normally get practically everything in the 20 or 50 loot box bundles. Plus I only buy them during the events when things are at stake. But this event feels like there is a lot of changes to the drop rate. I got the Mercy highlight like 5 or 6 times.
Is anyone else complaining about this besides GAF? I only go on Overwatch Reddit and they seem perfectly happy.

I'm just happy I got Ana's new skin, top 5 skins of all time.
What do people think of CTF? I personally think it proves why Overwatch isn't suited to CTF. I've had like a handful of good matches, and a whole bunch of stompings. Even the "good" matches are usually one team quickly caps the flag, then the other team wakes up and it ends 1-0. Or a draw.
I think most OW objectives are slow-burn, area-based objectives for a reason. Taking something and running throws off the balance a bit. Hell, having to both attack and defend is enough of a wrench to throw things off. Pretty often the losing team will happen to have gone too much on the offensive at the wrong moment.
All that said, I've only put like 2-3 hours into CTF. Not like I've been in it all day since it dropped.
Back to just doing quickplay now, with one arcade lootbox left to earn.

It's great - especially good for only being Epic rarity. Love the Talchum mask reference and the patterns from Korean palaces on her gun and outfit. So well executed.

Man, you guys are so lucky. I've yet to get a legendary skin from the event.
I've opened close to 30 lootboxes since the event started and got 2 legs.. both which were old ones from the base game.
It's just RNG being a full on shitshow as it usually is.

I haven't gotten that many boxes, but.... yeah they're not so hot this time around. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Just played like 12 games in a row and didn't lose a single one! O_O
Couple a draws but the rest were all wins, can't believe it, got my free loot boxes for the week done so quickly.
Haven't opened them yet because I like my wife to do it cause she has the luck!

I finally got an event skin, Mercy's. Not bad, but Symmetra and one of the Mei skins are what I'm really hoping for.

Why the hell are you guys buying loot boxes and skins with gold now? Aren't you just going to kick yourself if you get anything in an earned box, like I very nearly did when I got D'va's skin from arcade boxes last night?
Surely it's best to leave it til the last day and buy as many boxes as you need then.

Yeah, don't spend your gold now. During the winter event I caved early and bought Reaper's Shiver skin, and despite getting a lot of great stuff I never got Santa Mei from a box for the rest of the event, and I only barely managed to get the coins for her right at the very end before the event ended. I was kicking myself because I got a Shiver dupe pretty soon after I bought it.

Same , would never pay a cent on this game outside of initial buying the game part.
Why i mean there are tons of non-event costumes and its likely you will get some event costumes . You can buy most wanted with your coins i assume.

The skins are RNG dependent. I got my first legendary when I was around level 26, which was Roadhog's Toa skin, but my sister got Junkenstein, Junkenstein's Monster, and Hanzo's demon skin by the time she was level 8.

TFW you get 3 gold medals, 4 career bests, chain kill 4 of the enemy team 4 separate times and your team still never moves in because they are chicken ass motherfuckers and the enemy eventually gets a last second flag capture (wherein you killed 4 of the team yourself but couldn't get the runner) to win.
I understand being defensive when you have a lead, but seriously... the other team wasn't even good aside from their junkrat. I'm pretty sure almost nobody pays attention to the killfeed and how much of the enemy is actually dead.

I've been pretty lucky so far for skins.
I've got the White Mei outfit, the Palanquin DVa, the Tracer, and the Roadhog.
As well, as a few other Yellows that aren't holiday related.

Yeah CTF usually ends up in a draw because people play way too much on defense. With exceptions of a Tracer getting it once or a Winston grabbing it and jumping halfway the map scoring a point. Also the matchmaking is horrible... takes ages to finally get into a game. But the worst thing in my opinion is the flag grabbing moment takes way too much time. It should just be run over it to grab it. Would make CTF way more dynamic and less camping.
As a new player (earning boxes to level 16) who recently bought the game I am pretty fine with the loot box results so far:

I can't earn so much gold coins as a new player since I am barely getting any coins in boxes nor do I get duplicates. I know it's more a f2p kinda thing that games as League of Legends do. But why won't they sell like 10, 25, 50$ coin cards?

I don't think they anticipated just how different and sensitive to change team-based FPS mechanics are compared to Starcraft 2 (which has a decent arcade that remains silly/light/enjoyable). The 3 weekly boxes probably make it worse because it makes you care about the results more, which makes you see all the broken aspects more.
Then Tracer would truly be an unstoppable god in the mode. There would have to be like 4x the current distance between bases.
I'm actually very much in favor of larger levels, it'd make multiple heroes relevant again.

I play mystery heroes more than anything right now.
When my wife and I play together, we bounce around between mystery and CTF right now.
I used to play 1v1 all the time, and still manage to squeeze in some Competitive here and there.
Opened about 10 boxes so far and have only gotten the Lunar Roadhog skin. Gonna keep on the arcade until time is up though. I just want D.Va. : (

My goto has been the 6v6 Mystery heroes.
I really like it, but I'm a completely casual, mostly solo player. I like the variety, and I like how you're only awarded with an Ultimate if you survive long enough to earn it.

I love Arcade mode since I can just relax and play the way I like. I do hate it though when there are either six of any specific heroes or a vast majority of it.
I can't stand Competitive anymore since I never win (I suck) and I always feel like I'm dragging the team down. Which really sucks cause I really want that Golden weapon.
Also, still no awesome stuff from the event. I think I'm starting to dislike this event from the others.
