If a character was DLC previously then they might show up in the base roster. Otherwise, not at all.

Johnny Cage would sell a pretty damn hefty amount I think. He's the snarky badass everyone loves.
They could also go for Cassie Cage since she's kinda has the same role.

In the last stream Boon said it is not likely that DLC characters from the first game will make it in the base roster for 2, but it does not completely rule out seeing them in the future. (around the 13 min mark of the stream).
So not a hard no, but probably unlikely.

To celebrate today's character reveal, for a bit of fun this morning, I decided to write some dialogue for two potential characters I would have liked to see included in this game...one of whom just so happened to be Black Canary! Regardless, here they are!

I think it helped that pretty much everyone that played her was really bad though, and just did the fully punishable teleport from fullscreen. So you had to be pretty good to make her super annoying.
Were as even mediocre players could annoy me with MMH.

I think Black Canary looks pretty good, but I'm not totally sold on her moveset yet. A stream showing off her moves and abilities would be nice.
She survived! She was sent to a pocket dimension.
Nobody would buy Cassie Cage DLC but everybody would buy Johnny.
Its pretty simple business.
That's my point.
He killed her and Fate saved her.
Her interactions with Superman are going to be incredible.
So it's rather underwhelming to have basically not a single reference to that in your theory clash ;p .

Spacewolf those are all really good.
I was so hyped for Zee and then so quickly disappointed with what we got, it really felt like they had no idea what to do with her move wise. I felt the same about MMH as well, I was stoked when they announced him and then just completely underwhelmed when I played him.
It's just some lines someone wrote for fun. Yeesh.

I actually enjoyed Zatanna in the first game, but only her regular stance. Hat/Wand stance was utter garbage, especially in a game that is so focused on keepaway, making a slow moving stance with no jumps and that is mostly very close range melee attacks seemed like a really silly idea.
I think Manhunter was fine. Dude has so many powers, you can never make a fully satisfying moveset for him that feels coherent gameplay-wise and fully represents his powers as well.

That's my point. Your imagination should go wild as to what a "coming back from the dead" character could say to her killer.
Not "hey I'll tell you a secret" "you'll tell me in prison".
It wasn't the point so much as the tone, which seemed rude.

Well, I wanted to hedge my bets in regards to hinting at her resurrection, given that I wasn't sure if they would be using that specific version of the character. Additionally, I feel it would have been a reference which might have confused players who hadn't read the tie-in comic, which was the only place that particular storyline managed to unfold.
Sorry you weren't a fan, I was just doing it for fun.

I just looked at Bane and Poison Ivy on the main website. Bane looks like he now works for a PMC, and Poison Ivy looks fine in that render--we'll have to see how she looks in game.

I found a character I like in Injustice 1 it was Bane I never tried him because I used to not like grapplers.
Here they are!
Both are looking pretty good!
Poison Ivy in particular is going to be interesting with "plant armor" options.

God I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of character Ivy is. Definitely the one I'm most excited about tbh.
Close second would be Scarecrow (assuming he's in, which is looking more and more likely)

My guess is that Ivy will be technically reminiscent of Raven or Ermac. She'll probably have full screen grabs where some vines come up from below. Mainly because as it is, the roster seems to be missing that playstyle. I suppose Swamp Thing and Doctor Fate could possibly do that too. But more likely for the forme and not the latter.
Kinda disappointed they took a step back when it comes to sexualizing the female characters compared to MKX.

IT's not like in your face compared to how SFV went, but it is distracting.

Harley looks sexy though. Wonder woman is just terrible overall her face even upgraded is puke.
I dont get your complaints though do you walk blind or say lady you are too sexy you distract me at work/street etc.
Seriously nothing about these designs are distracting like at all. I would may see your point if you were strictly talking about SF5.

I m betting 10$ on poison ivy playing like bug lady from MKX after seeing Canary
Not the good kind of sexy distracting, but more cringe inducing because they are so bad at it. If they can't do it right, id rather they not even try.
I think Harley looks weird as hell because her face doesn't match the sexualized body.
Same with Wonder Woman.
