Did anyone make guesses on that DC comedy show on NBC? I forgot all about it until I saw commercials for it while watching Superstore off my DVR.

Prediction

Powerless - 0.7

Riverdale decreased
Powerless open soft
And seems like not the only one who forgot there was a Training Day TV show

I really underestimated Powerless. Lol. I have Superior Donuts on my DVR but not sure if I'll check it out. Wonder how it will do next week without Big Bang as a lead in

If Powerless doesn't drop much more than that, NBC might be fine with that.

Training Day is DOA, though

Riverdale probably is toast, too.

Poor Blacklist is down 0.6 (40%!) from this calendar week last year in the 9 p.m. slot.

Actually most surprised at Riverdale. It seemed like the show was building a lot of interest online.

Its real problem now will be that it's a WB show. Those numbers would be pretty great if it was a CBS production.

iZombie will save CW!

I'm actually kind of worried for it. Everything is trending down and it's not going to have a strong lead in for most of the new season.

I wonder how poorly the Blacklist spinoff is going to do.

Sub-1.0, I'm sure. It's kinda acting like Agent Carter did for Agents of SHIELD, though — it's filling a two-month gap while the main Blacklist series is off the air. Better than repeats of the main show, I guess, which typically do very badly.

It's a co-pro with CBS.

Gotcha, thanks Dan. I got tired of the constant runaround of the plot so I dropped the show, but am still curious about how it performs and will have at least a mild curiosity about what the final reveals of the series entail.

Technically everything on the CW is listed as a co-production. It's distributed by WB, though.

Frequency and the DC shows aren't.

If it isn't DC, CW is going to prioritize co-pro. If Riverdale is a success on Netflix, they will greenlight the show for a second season I have no doubts - especially following the reception of Frequency & No Tomorrow.

Not surprised at Riverdale. Probably would work better on Freeform since PLL is ending this year.

Also not that surprised at the Blacklist ratings since it's been going down every season.

I'm not completely down on Riverdale's chances of a renewal, but it'll require the show not drop any further and for other shows to perform worse.

The odds aren't bad, but I wouldn't want to have to put money on it.

For what it's worth, here's what The Former Cancellation Bear had to say about Riverdale after its premiere a week ago:

TVGrimReaper said:
The reaper’s started his prediction for Riverdale at a toss up. It’s a WB produced show, so it can’t get renewed with terrible ratings like CBS produced shows Crazy Ex-Girlfriend & Jane The Virgin, but there are several more WB produced shows still to premiere that could go even lower (The Originals, The 100, iZombie). The mix of all their ratings, and their episode counts, will determine the reaper’s predictions for them.

Didn't Cancellation Bear end up being pretty bad at his job?

Yeah, the CW really threw a wrench into many of his predictions a few seasons back.

It's also clear that he's not taking into account critical reception/awards, streaming, international sales, etc.

The algorithm for deciding a CW renewal is pretty complex.

I'd say in general these days. There's just a lot of factors to consider now as broadcast television learns how to exist in a no commercial/streaming world.

If everything else fails they have to renew it, no? No? Yes? Yes? Argh! Someone give iZombie a Golden Globe, quick!
If iZombie gets cancelled, at least we got 3 seasons.

What's with those Riverdale numbers? Jesus, I hope it doesn't get cancelled.
It being on Netflix internationally is good, right? What do the Netflix contracts look like, do they have to keep buying seasons as long as the show runs or can they opt out? I read that for syndication whoever buys the rights can get stuck with an expensive show because they have to pay for episodes as long as they are produced, hopefully it's the same for Netflix.

so rude

doesnt seem very good :(

I already commented in the thread but it's not my flavor at all. I watched two more episodes during lunch and I'm still not digging it. Olyphant is the bright spot but I think I'm done watching anymore. Braindead and iZombie did this comedy/horror thing MUCH MUCH better. But I thought Stranger Things was just okay. What do I know? lol

let me cut you off right there, and before your comment triggers all the haters out of their holes and the positive silent majority stays, well silent, let me say that Stranger Things was in fact, amazing.

FWIW, I thought stranger things was a lot of fun and that iZombie is significantly better than it. So there exists people who liked both of those.

On a totally unrelated note, I see you're interested in a show about zombies. Have you heard about a show called iZombie?
