SFV: Kolin Reveal Trailer

Don't care about the face anymore it was just kind of jarring at first. Her gameplay, unfornutely, isnt that interesting to me. So the wait continues for a character I like.

Did they said they are going to focus on new martial arts or/and new fighting styles that haven't make their appearances in Street Fighter Universe? If Yes, which is pretty exciting to know that. I just hope that we would see more new countries representative.

I'm totally fine with Kolin's inclusion since she's a first ice user (fully, not counting Gill) and Systema user as well.
 
She looks alright. Depending on her normals and walk speed, I might pick her up as a secondary. It's a shame I'm going to have to pay for the nostalgia costume though.

They did say they wanted to focus on making the characters this season really unique, in terms of playstyles/mechanics. So, that might have the added effect of introducing fighting styles we haven't seen in SF before.

I honestly didn't expect Kolin to be a Systema partitioner, which is half of the reason why I'm hyped.

Now how about that non-Doll Habesha newcomer, Capcom......please?
Hell, I could do the voice if you need someone of Eritrean/Ethiopean descent as the English VA.
 
Not terribly excited by her moves, especially the counters.

I'll still give her a go, but not expecting much.

I think so too, and the Haggar/Guy posters are probably teases for Shazam or whatever his name is + another ninja who plays like Guy. It's an Ono thing.

The release rate of a character every two months is a bit underwhelming, but hopefully that is because they have other improvements cooking. On its own, I don't think bi-monthly characters that most people have no history with or attachment to is going to bring anyone new or back to the game.

The goal is to build on the game, not bring new/old players back. That ship sailed a long time ago and Capcom isn't (outwardly, at least) pretending otherwise. So I'm glad they're at least being unique w/ the new characters, even if I'll probably never get to play them because I'm not paying for a character or stage. I still think all the new characters (so far) in SFV are great except for Necalli. Some of Capcom's best designs in a long time, even if the faces are, as another poster pointed out, very hit or miss... with Kolin being a miss in that regard. But imo apart from the face she looks dope.

Yup I'm pretty sure they did say that. I remember wishful speculation about a Pacquiao-like character (he was wearing SFV promo gear to fights), etc. We did see a new region represented but unfortunately they don't care about the world warrior theme so it doesn't really matter what country a character is from in the data book.

Her hair does indeed look pretty weird when it starts clipping but other than that I think she looks fantastic.

And even compared to KoF XIV's new graphics, it really does not look that bad.
 
After the leaks people were saying she might be like Rose, shame that she isn't. Seems pretty bland and uninteresting like most of the SFV cast unfortunately.

Eisbahn's from an obscure Capcom mobile game. The poster seen in SFV's London stage was likely just a cameo.

Why would you want her to be like Rose?

It's great that she is her own character.

How is Rose "fireball, drill and dash" more interesting than this ice based character? Crazy talk
 
She looks great! That mid-combo ice-block dropping for an Ibuki kunai-style mixup could be interesting. I like the ice paths her sliding moves leave behind as well.

Her 3rd Strike costume looks dreadful because of that fringe but the scarf one is perfect.

The double-jump looks like it might be a command move, maybe? She shoots a spike of ice out as she goes. The direction and angle look useless but maybe it could cover corner escapes?

I'll also echo the opinion that her win pose doesn't feel befitting of the character. It's about time Capcom started adding new win poses, taunts and intros for that extra polish and character customisation.
 
Horrifying new face. This character will never return either way though and it feels like a wasted slot.
 
So is she Helen or is she her sister/clone/teammate or something? I remember her face looking different.
 
Her moveset is pretty dope, way better than I expected. Loved all the new characters movesets in SFV so I can't wait to tey her out.
 
I am not sure if people caught on that but:

We also want to let you know too, expect to hear more from us about each of the remaining four characters every other month beginning in February. That said, in months where we won't have any new character info, we will have new information and content to talk about. As previously mentioned, we have been analyzing player performance since the Season 2 balance changes. At this time, we can confirm additional changes are in the works to bring characters in-line with how we envision them to perform. We can't share all of the details quite yet, but we are anticipating an announcement early March.

So we should be hearing about the third character next month, then the 4th in april, 5th in june and the last in august. March, May, July with possible additions of content.

And maybe a revision of S2 balancing in march ? Quite huge news.
