Yes but I don't think Parallax is one of them. For one how would they have eradicated him from Hal's body or even know about the entity? In this Universe either Parallax and the events of Rebirth already happened meaning they can't be blamed for Hal's behavior or it's pre-Rebirth and Kyle never got a chance to tell people about Parallax. Maybe the Guardians do it, who knows, but it still begs the question of how Hal gets free of him without his soul being cleansed. If there's no outside influence then why the Guardians allow him to be a GL again is beyond me but, as you said, maybe he's not.


As far as resurrection we have The Joker in a leaked list and if that's proven true then why couldn't Kyle or anyone come back? If he's there during Flashbacks anyone is possible, if it's Scarecrow induced hallucinations then it makes more sense but I don't know if he'd be included as a playable character for such a bit part as that sounds more akin to the role Sindel and Rain played in MKX.

Only thing i'd say there is Hal cannot be a green anymore after what they did to the Corps in the comics. They could choose to ignore the comics but Ed Boon has talked about enjoying the comic line and they're doing an Injustice 2 comic line launching with the game so that is very unlikely.

Only thing I could think of is OG Parallax lantern since he would have access to every green lantern ring once he's freed.

I guess we won't be able to answer that question until the game releases. Green Arrow is in the same category as Joker, though it makes sense that if Black Canary has returned "home," she might bring the Ollie of whatever Earth she escaped to, with her.

On that note, I appreciate your passion for DC Comics bro.

Taylor has already shown pages of Injustice 2 comic and
Black Canary does indeed bring Green Arrow with her when she comes back
so that's at least understandable.


Yeah, I love DC....for the most part. Superman is my favorite Superhero of all time and Captain Cold is in my top 3 villains of all time. That said they do a lot of stuff I haaaaaaaaate.

Can you link me to the pages? I cannot wait for the new series to begin. Tom Taylor is a great writer; I'm glad he's coming back for Injustice 2.

I always find it difficult to choose a favourite. I love so many of DC's heroes and villains. Green Lantern is one of my favourites, Batwoman too, though I'm sure that's more obvious.

One of the most interesting things about the stream today (aside from Black Canary's addition to the beta by end of the week) was how excitable the three seemed to be about what's coming on the next stream. They kept saying "there's so much we haven't shown you" which makes me think we'll be seeing either a story mode trailer, which I expect to have something added to the MK9/MKX formula, whether it be through choices or something else, or the reveal of a new mode. There was something about the way they were teasing that made it sound like they were excited about more than just new character reveals.

Those are my thoughts as well. I'm tempering my hype until March I guess lol. I feel kind of bad for the NRS guys because they have been shit on mercilessly for the whole beta code fiasco and they still manage to come out and be legitimately excited to do these streams and give the fans something extra. However, dedicating an entire stream of playing the beta when there's so much public resentment over the way things are being handled over the beta just comes off as sort of oblivious to me haha. It's just opening the flood gates for more anger and annoyance from the fans, and at this point in time I can't really blame them. Anyone can go on YouTube or Twitch and watch pros and casuals alike play the beta so overall the stream just felt... unnecessary? I'm happy we're getting black canary but man, I was rooting for Grodd:(.

Played four matches as Black Canary, three of them mirror and one vs. Batman. I can't give any kind of real review since I've still only barely touched her, but I can definitely already feel the potential for her to be one of my mains. How does her trait work, though? I've just been waiting for the meter to fill up, but one of my opponents was able to do what felt like a full screech, and his meter was just rapidly filling up red.

Does she have the Canary Bomb/Grenade by default or is it an ability?

There's 3 levels: yellow (just does damage), orange (causes stun on grounded opponent), and red (full screen, full screen knockaway and stun).


Grenade is an ability.

Oh! That makes sense. Thanks. I missed the stream, so the only thing I know about Canary up to this point is what we saw in the IGN reveal and gameplay videos.

I got an ability called Air Canary Cry, which lets me trait in the air. This'll be helpful.

At this point, I have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting an Injustice 2 beta code :(

I wouldn't be so bummed if they had marketed it as a closed beta from the jump, but they didn't. I signed up first day and even tweeted Boon. Where you at NRS?
