Nah, Gill and Kolin were Capcom's advancements in sprite work for CPS3. They pointed out how Gill isn't mirrored numerous times (and Kolin is of course the same, everybody stopped caring because Gill was also for gameplay reasons).
They solved Sagat eyepatch syndrome basically in the mid to late 90s.

Haven't followed Street Fighter V, but how much does it cost to buy each character with real money? How about the alternate outfits? I get it costs 100k fight money to buy a character, but how much fight money to buy each alternate costume?

Can't say I'm a fan, sounds like something that'd fit a dungeon in a JRPG more. Does sound very wintery though, fits the character atleast. Just wish it was a bit more upbeat.

I just want to say that it's super dope that they hand-colored Gill to make him correct on both sides instead of just flipping the sprite.

And they choose to use the side where she stands on the ice side, which is the point.
The fact that there is an alternate entrance where she stands on the fire side does not matter.
We can debate whether it was deliberate or not. In the end it doesn't matter. The only way to get a definite answer is probably to ask the one who did the blog post.

Everyone came off lame in the story, new and old. (Except for Ryu, because he sat out of 90% of it.)
I love cheesy fighting game stories, but this was awful.

He knew the whole situation was whack so he peaced out.

Urien, Karin, Juri, and Gief came out looking like bosses.
Karin in particular had people like Guile and Cammy bowing down to her. She didn't have that kind of stroke in SFA3.
Gief deflected a sword with his chest hair, so...he wins, too.

Juri's participation made no sense. (And that ATV ride from Brazil to London...) Gief was just a joke. Karin was okay I guess.
Again, I like silliness, but this stretched credibility a bit too much IMO.
Uh, Rashid? He was essentially the main hero of the story and has the most complete character arc.
Doesn't feel new enough, every season it should change to accommodate the characters. More like I'm getting bored with the look.
They will run out of space after Kolin so we will see how they will change it

Yeah, the story did make everyone look bad. Everything about it was terrible with not a single redeeming quality. We were better off not knowing things like Necalli basically being a stupid slime monster with a speech impediment. Nothing about that story mode was good, and cement why they should have just kept it out. People still complained when they released it, so it didn't even help.
