Twitter is losing it after the Prime Minister of Japan rolled his eyes at Trump

This is the most awkward Tim and Eric sketch of all time.

"What a beautiful handshake!"

What's with the fucking yank? Is this an American power trip thing? First, I heard americans clap after eating food and chant USA or something and now this?

Feel like someone ought to put him in place by either suddenly letting go and subsequently expressing, "WTF!?" if verbal response is too obvious OR pull his arm to mirror his act.

It's a business power move thing, likely a relic that Trump thinks is still great.

Trump seems like the kind of guy who'd try to hurt your hand in a handshake to prove he was stronger, then joke it off while nursing the pain in his own hand when you don't flinch.

So, Mr. Make Japan great again and Mr. アメリカを取り戻す don't get along? But they're so much alike. I thought they'd be BFFs

That handshake was awkward as fuck, seriously what is up with the arm pulling? He did that with Gorsuch too. Someone needs to slap this guy in the face.

Well, that was awkward and uncomfortable looking.

Looked like Abe was trying to get away but Trump kept pulling him back in.

Is janking someone's hand around when you're shaking hands an actual power move? I've never heard of anyone doing that, and if someone did it to me, I'd just think they were weird as fuck.

Gotta assert your dominance by yanking people with those big strong hands huh Donnie.

Anybody else catch that he said something about strong hands at the end there? Dude's never letting that shit go hahahah.

There was a week or two in third grade when this was what the cool kids were doing but I haven't seen or experienced it since. But I'm not some insecure 70 year old businessman who is obsessed with his image and the size of his hands.

Of course it isn't in adulthood, but Trump is a fucking child.

Trump really doesn't know how to shake hands with people.
There is serious alpha stuff going on here. If you grab someone and pull them toward you, you're displaying your dominance. Abe notices this in the split second and pulls back, thereby protecting his own alpha boundaries.

i think its mostly done for presentation. The pulling especially. Makes the other person appear to be reaching out towards Trump. When Trump is far enough away it makes the other person appear to bow before him. Its all done to display subservience. Look at that little pat at the end he does here:

"Thats a good little boy!"

If you have to shake his hand make him uncomfortable. Step right up into his bubble. Get bad breath close. Shake his hand like you were General Zod. Make him kneel in pain. Put your arm around him. Like you are gonna make him a deal he cant refuse. Make his ass look weak.
