It feels like most of the people in every Switch thread aren't even interested in the product, but still want to watch it crash and burn. Hoping, even.I feel like if the Switch flops, then this will be a hilarious thread.
As much as I love talking shit about Gamestop this is really a Nintendo supply chain problem.
Yeah, this is going to confuse the fuck out of the average customer. Brilliant!
I REALLY doubt this was Nintendo's idea.
You poor poor man... but fear not, I have just entered you in a contest to land a better job somewhere.I work tomorrow. I had no idea about this...

With the Circle of Life nonsense, isn't it better for the employees if they don't sell the preorders?
No.👏Stop 👏Giving 👏 GameStop 👏 Money
"Lucky" "Guests"
Seems kinda silly but the outrage here seems sillier. "First come first serve" is a breeding ground for scalpers and scalpers should be shot. Although, I guess this could result in randos putting in tickets even if they don't want the Switch and then scalping their preorders. So, whatever. It's just 1,000. They'd disappear quick as hell anyways.
GameStop stores and guests will be selected at random throughout the day on Saturday. They just walk in and ask and don't have to purchase anything. Also, it's zero money down."
don't remind meI already took an L with the yeezy 350, i don't need more lottery system L's
There is a 100% chance that whoever thought of this "promotion" is using it to earn brownie points with management using this logic. "Heh, our customers are so stupid they'll come in for the chance to spend money, and at the same time we'll talk them into spending even more money! Even the suckers who get a Switch will all get talked into ordering games and accessories."I'm not sure what their plan here is? We know they make very little money off new console sales anyways, so their thinking is a customer will walk in and ask "do you have any switch reservations?" and then be told no and then think "oh, well in that case, I'll just buy some sweet used games bro!"??

Aren't they essentially the same thing?Despite having GAME I'm quite glad Gamestop don't have a retail presence in the UK. One questionable high street game retailer is enough.
Preordering Nintendo stuff outside of Europe sounds like a nightmare.
